Experimenting with Texture in Your Bedroom

If you’re considering updating your bedroom, you might be under the impression that it is the colour that’s a bit ‘off’. But have you considered that it might actually be texture that you’re missing instead?

Texture is key to creating a strong interior: a variety of textiles and materials is pleasing to the eye and gives us layers upon layers of interest in a room, which just so happens to be the key to designing a space that isn’t sterile or cold… even if it’s completely white! That’s because good interior design is all about how a room feels and makes you feel, not just how it looks – which is why texture is so important.

But how can you introduce texture in your bedroom?

Well, the first thing to know is that there aren’t any rules. There’s not a magic formula for the number of pieces you should include that are made from a particular material, nor are there any rules for where you should place certain items. Instead, it’s something you can figure out with intuition and practice, refining your space until it feels right to you. But, you could certainly start with the largest and often most domineering part of a bedroom: the bed.

You can introduce texture in your room using your bed in a variety of ways, from choosing an interesting bed frame to dressing your bed in sumptuous materials. Start by ensuring you’ve a good base (literally – a sturdy bed base and comfortable mattress from somewhere like Divan Beds Centre will make your bed cosy and comfortable, as well as look gorgeous), then think about how to introduce texture. A plush headboard made from quilted velvet will look sophisticated and inviting, while a rustic headboard made from reclaimed wooden boards will look industrial and interesting.

Silk bed sheets will add more than a touch of glamour, whereas crumped linen sheets will make your room look like something straight out of a French interiors magazine. Be guided by your instinctive preferences and have fun by playing around with textures on your bed.

You can also experiment with texture in your room by giving some thought to your walls. A matt emulsion paint will look very different to something that contains some gloss or sheen, whereas a textured wallpaper can lift entire sections of your room in a way you’ll never be able to achieve with paint alone.

But, as well as looking at those ‘big’ things like beds, wallpaper and paint, don’t forget that you can add texture to your room in the small details too. For instance, a faux throw bed spread or a knitted cushion cover will add depth and interest, and plants – be they real or fake – add an element of the outdoors to your bedroom… a sure-fire way to successfully experiment with texture. Concrete candle holders, metallic mirrors, exposed wood side-tables, glass vases and more: they’re all wonderful ways to introduce texture to your room without breaking the bank or risking a design disaster. So, give it a try for yourself and see what a difference it makes to your bedroom.

    1. Hello, I am Theresa Williams After being in relationship with Anderson for years, he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to my friend and she suggested that I should rather contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that never believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I mailed the spell caster, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4 pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem. email: drogunduspellcaster@gmail.com you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or any other Case.
