The Siblings Project {February 2017}

This month seems to have flown by since sharing last months siblings photos, I honestly don't know where the days have gone. I haven't really had the opportunity to take photos of the kids together this month so these photos were a last minute iPhone job when they came back from their dads last night.

Each month the age gap between them seems to grow smaller and smaller, Harry is no longer a toddler. The both of them talk to each other constantly and understand what each other wants or needs. I love seeing the change as Harry gets older and the way they play with each other. Amelia is still ever so caring and protective over him, always making sure he's ok. Of course they do still argue, but the majority of the time they are the best of friends! Before having Harry I often wondered what age gap would be best, I wasn't sure if it was too far apart or too close. But I love the age gap they have and the best thing about them being close in age is that they'll always have a friend or at least whilst they're kids!

We haven't had much time this month to do anything together as the kids spent one weekend at their dads but Amelia broke up for half term today so we have a whole week and a half apart from the days they go to their dads midweek to make the most of! I love that the evenings are getting lighter so it gives us more time to go for a walk after school or spend it out at the weekends. We don't have anything planned as such but I aim to get outdoors as much as possible and just enjoy time together. I hate having less time away from them but they still have a lot of time together, I just don't get to see it. But at least I know they still have each other.

As much as they do my head in some days and make me want to pull my hair out when they constantly bicker over toys, I hate spending so much time away from them now that they'll be spending more time at their dads. But I also know that they are in good hands and they get to have fun together. Life is about to get a little hectic at home over the next few weeks, but I'm sure they'll adjust to it perfectly fine even if I don't!

I'm hoping that next month we will be able to capture some outdoor photos! Fingers crossed it warms up a little as we draw nearer to spring.

  1. I think these pictures sum them up perfectly - the cheekiness, the friendship and the closeness. The age gap really is getting smaller and smaller x
