Living Arrows 6/52

"You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth"

This photo was taken last night before bed. I had allowed Amelia to sit up with me for a little while and cuddle in front of the TV. I had put her to bed at her usual bedtime and she came downstairs and before I opened my mouth to tell her to go back to bed as she had school in the morning she said "But I've missed you mummy, how could I say no to that. The kids had been away since Friday and had never been away for that long before and I had missed her too. So we sat and watched TV, talked and cuddled which was nice.

Harry caught what ever Amelia had last week and also had conjunctivitis which seems to have finally cleared up this weekend. But he was feeling rather sorry for himself most of the week poor thing. He loves his sleep and will usually wake up straight away when I open his door in the morning but he's been flat out most mornings like this. I love how he sleeps on his front like this with his little feet sticking out.

  1. so cute story... and the cutest kids ever! Have you ever thought about being the photographer? I love your pictures. I work for the nice website for college students, and we are thinking about the re-branding. We are looking for the photographer.

  4. Oh bless him - sleeping like a proper little baby! Love his little bum in the air and feet poking out. CUTE! It must be tough when the kids are away but nice that Amelia acknowledges that she misses you and wants to spend time with you. She sounds like quite a sensitive and lovely girl x

  5. One of my stepdaughters was asleep the other night, with an emoji cushion she has on her head, so it looked like the big yellow cushion was her head. My first thought, as she was sleeping soundly was, take a photo! FOR THE BLOG!

I'm not a very good person.
