I started taking part in The Siblings Project the brain child of the lovely Lucy back in January 2015 when Harry was born so two years now and I'm so glad I did as I now have lots of photos and memories of them both to look back on. So I am really excited to be joining in again this year and seeing how my two change over the year.
We haven't really been out anywhere this past month what with getting back into the swing of things with the new year and Amelia being back to school so this months photos have all been taken at home. Harry has also had the chicken pox the past week which have thankfully healed up now so we are able to get out of the house!
These two will have been siblings for a whole two years tomorrow! I have loved watching them become siblings, grow closer and also become the best of friends!
This month they have both either been the very best of friends or fighting constantly. They can be so close playing nicely or hugging each other yet the next minute they're hitting each other and screaming at the other one arguing over a toy. I think they're just at that age now, Harry is very independent and also knows his own mind and so is Amelia so they both clash. Sometimes I forget that there is a 2 & 3/4 year age gap between them as Harry seems so much older than what he is. They both talk to each other and understand what another says and what they want. Even though they are both so caring and affectionate towards each other the rest of the day they do argue a lot!
These photos were taken yesterday lunch time. They don't always sit on the sofa to have their lunch but it was Saturday after all and the kitchen table is full with Harrys birthday presents and other clutter I need to find a home for! But they both wanted to watch Finding Dory (for the 100th time since Christmas) and as it was raining we decided not to go for a walk so they had a picnic style lunch in the living room instead.
I just so happened to grab my camera at the right time when Harry was cuddling into Amelia which was so sweet to watch. They're always cuddling up on the sofa or giving each other random hugs throughout the day.
It does seem almost impossible to get any nice photos of them both stood together which I always dream of taking but Harry just doesn't want to stand still for long enough so these will have to do for now. And even though they are slightly blurry and dull because of the crappy January weather I love them all the same.
I can't wait to see what photos I capture of them both this year as they grow even closer as siblings.
