Chicken Pox, Disney Planning & Me Time | #LittleLoves

Happy Friday everyone!

Hope you've all had a good week? We've mainly been housebound this past week as Harry woke up with the chicken pox last Thursday so we couldn't really do much. They are nearly gone now so I can't wait to get out for a walk later today and make the most of the weekend with the kids!

Here's what we've been loving this week:

This week I've been reading lots of Disneyland posts and reviews to get me in the Disney mood. I had started looked at going at the end of last year and decided to wait until this year to book so when I got an email earlier in the week with some great deals I jumped at the chance as it seemed liked too much of a good deal to miss especially with Harry being free. I haven't booked anything yet as I'm currently pricing everything up but hoping to book soon! I took Amelia back in 2014 when she had just turned two and can't wait to take both of them this time although I'm slightly nervous about going on our own.

I've also had a bit more me time this week than usual as the kids went to their dads for two nights in a row for the first time. At first I didn't know what to do with myself as I had no plans this week, so instead I ran myself a relaxing bath and started reading Me Before You. I recently watched the film and loved it, and apparently the book is better so I'm looking forward to finishing it.

As well as watching lots of disney vlogs from fellow bloggers and vloggers I have also been catching up with Sherlock. I only got into Sherlock last year and binge watched all of the episodes and really enjoyed it so couldn't wait for the new series which started on New Years Day. I still have last weeks episode to watch but I've heard it's a good one!

I haven't really made anything this week unless you count finally making 10,000 steps on my Fitbit. I will be sharing a review on it soon but I've really enjoyed using it so far. I had the old Fitbit flex a few years ago but never got on with it but the Charge 2 is fantastic! I'm aiming to achieve 10,000 steps from now on as most days I was only reaching 3-4k if I was at home which is really bad. Especially as the months get warmer, I'll try and get out for a walk most days.

I've been loving wear one of my old favourite Ralph Lauren perfumes, it reminds me of being back in college. I need to buy a new one as it's very nearly run out but I do like to change from my usual Marc Jacobs daisy every once in a while. I don't really try new perfumes so if you have any favourites let me know below!

Amelia had a friends birthday party on Saturday which I took her to whilst my mum watched Harry for me. She had lots of fun and it was great listening to her having lots of fun with her friends. I had been debating about throwing her a party for her 5th birthday as I hate social events with people I don't know but I think I definitely will now as she was in her element!

And lastly it's Harry's birthday on Monday so I've been doing the last bits of preparation for that. I've bought a cake, all of his presents are built or wrapped and I've got his decorations ready. I'm not doing a party for him as he doesn't have any friends yet haha! So will just be having some family around throughout the day as Amelia is at school.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Right. First thing first: where did you get your bath caddy from please? I cannot find one ANYWHERE and it's driving me up the wall! Now that I FINALLY have a bath large enough for a really good bathe I really want one! How exciting about booking Disney - hope you find a great deal. And oh! The Ralph perfume! Such a blast from the past. I wore it in sixth form after buying it on holiday - it would take me right back to those days if I smelled it now. My utter favourite perfume is Feerie by Van Cleef & Arpels. It sounds weird and it looks weird but it is beyond delicious, and I think you might like it if you like Daisy. They sell it in most department stores so you could go have a sniff! Hope you have a great weekend have fun setting up for Monday x #LittleLoves

  3. Oh how very very exciting Kerry. That's amazing I have two dream holidays for the kids and it's disney and skiing trip. Both I will need to save pennies for but I can't wait. I loved both as a kid myself and I would love them to experience the same. Your two are in for a treat as much as you are. It's so magical but you know that having gone with Amelia already. So exciting. Chicken pox get yourself some viral soothe spray it works wonders and they don't itch and it's easy to spray on them. Both of mine had it the same time so we got it over and done with thankfully. Hope Harry is am mild case. Big hugs. Hope you have a lovely weekend ahead. #littleloves

  4. I remember the Ralph Lauren perfume - I also used to wear Versace Blue Jeans, haha! I loved Me Before You, need to watch the film now. Hope Harry is feeling better, especially to celebrate his birthday. Enjoy your weekend xx

  5. I hate baths but yours looks so inviting! Mine looks like a 70s relic and is such an ugly colour, wish my landlord would hurry up and rip it out and put a new one in! We're hoping to make it to Disneyland this year too - maybe just before Christmas. It looks magical year round but having seen blog posts about it in December it looks like such an amazing place to celebrate the festive season - fingers crossed we get there! Happy Birthday to Harry for Monday! Have a great weekend x

  6. I LOVE Disney planning and really miss it as we haven't been since 2013. You will have an amazing time taking both Harry and Amelia. Hope the little man has a fantastic birthday. We also have birthday fever in our house as it's mine tomorrow and my daughters on Wednesday. Have a lovely week #littleloves x

  7. Love Ralph Lauren smell. I used to use perfume everyday but since becoming a mum it got lost somehow. HA I must get it out again.
I am planning to do a small little Minnie Mouse party for Chloe. Now that we are closer to family we can actually invite people over.

  8. Hope Harry has a lovely birthday today Kerry :-) And good luck with your Disneyland planning-we took the kids last year and had such a good time, I almost enjoyed the planning and anticipation as much as the actual holiday! Re throwing Amelia a party, I found when I threw a class party for Freddie's 5th birthday last year that I was so busy sorting food etc that I didn't actually have time to talk to anyone really apart from saying "Thanks for coming" at the end, so that might reassure you xx #LittleLoves

  9. How is Harry two already?! That has absolutely flown by. It sounds like Amelia had a great time at the party. I still wear the same perfume I wore when I was 17 - love that candle - everyone should be a nice human :) x

  11. Happy birthday Harry, I can't believe you're two already. There is so much to plan for Disney, it took us an epic 6 hours to get all our plans together and make a timetable. It was an amazing holiday though.
