Hope you've all had a good week? It was Harry's birthday on Monday, and even though I didn't have anything planned as Amelia was at school it was a really lovely day. We had family over throughout the day and then when Amelia was home from school we gave him his birthday cake. He loved all of his presents especially the ride on car and scooter. His birthday came round so quick after Christmas this year I couldn't believe it. I didn't feel prepared at all compared to last year!
Here's what we've been loving this week:
Okay so this one is kind of cheating, but I haven't really read anything that interesting at all this week apart from the menu at the restaurant I was at the other evening! I went out for food with my best friend and it was so nice to have a much needed catch up! We both had pizza and then popped to another restaurant nearby to chat for longer and had some ice cream sundaes. We've been friends for nearly 15 years now since year 8 of high school and even though we drifted apart over the years since leaving college and having kids when we do meet up it's just like the good old days. We've been making more of an effort this past year and since I've left work and now have a child free evening each week it means we can meet up a lot more often which is good!
Ex On The Beach series 6 started this week so I watched that on Tuesday. I don't really watch much TV other than the soaps but I do like a bit of Geordie Shore and Ex On The Beach. I think this series is going to be a good one. I especially found Zahida hilarious, its crazy what our ex's make us do haha, she also reminds me so much of Charlotte Crosby!
I finally made our Disneyland Paris booking! I have been putting it off for so long, mainly because my anxiety was getting the better of me and I was worried about travelling on my own with both of the kids but now that I've booked it I'm feeling a lot less nervous and really looking forward to it! We don't travel until December as I really wanted to go around Christmas time as I thought it would be really magical for the kids and also Harry will be nearly three and definitely out of pull ups by then so I thought it would make it a little easier.
Earlier in the month I bought Anastasia dipbrow promade and have been enjoying practising with it. In the past I'd always used a Anastasia brow pencil or the soap and glory brow pencil but after seeing so many people taking about this I decided to try it out for myself. I've had so many compliments on my eyebrows since using it.
I'm hoping it stays dry this weekend so I can take the kids out! I had hoped to take them out last weekend but we had visitors and then it rained. As well as having a bad cough which I think is now turning into a chest infection I thought it was probably best if we stayed home. We are going to my parents for Sunday lunch so I think I'll take them somewhere before we head over there.Have a great weekend!
