The Me & Mine Project | December 2016

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas! I took a bit of a break over the Christmas period as some of you may have noticed I haven't published anything since the 15th!!! It wasn't planned but I just didn't have any motivation to work at all and December has been a busy month for us. On that note, how on earth is it January tomorrow? 2017 for that matter?

This year has literally flown by before our eyes. December has disappeared with the blink of an eye and Christmas is now over *sad face*. With the New Year just around the corner I have been looking at some New Year resolutions and goals for the year ahead. One of my resolutions last year was to take more photos of the kids and of our family. Joining in with The Me & Mine project has allowed me to do just that and given me the kick up the butt to do so! I have missed a few months here or there, although I didn't start to join in until June. But next year I'm going to make sure I join in every month which reminds me I need to buy a new timer for the camera!

I always felt silly joining in as every month I'd see everyones photos with happy couples and kids especially as it's just the three of us and the photos would be repetitive as its hard enough to get two kids to sit still and smile for the camera but to do it on your own is even harder. But I want to capture those memories and see the kids grow. Already from looking back at Junes Me and Mine photo I can see how much they've both changed so I can't wait to se the different

This month mummy has been loving...

The Walking Dead
Drinking Baileys
Getting my nails done
Having family time at Christmas
Going on cold winter walks
Watching Teen Mom UK
Playing with the Amazon Echo
Costa's Christmas takeaway cups
Christmas shopping in Liverpool

Amelia has been loving...

Her school trip on Santas train
The magic of Christmas
Visiting Santa
Putting the Christmas tree up with mummy
Watching Finding Dory
Watching Aladdin at the Panto with mummy

Harry has been loving...

Talking lots and learning colours, shapes, numbers
Doing jigsaws

Going on walks with mummy

If you fancy joining in next year then check out Lucy's post here which explains a bit more.

Happy New Year!

  1. I love the matching PJs! :D
I've been looking for something like this to get my butt in gear when it comes to taking more photos as a family, so will hope to join in for 2017. Thanks for the link.

  2. How it is January tomorrow completely baffles me too! I'm definitely not ready for 2017, I'm still enjoying the calendar amnesia of the Christmas holidays. Your pictures are lovely (awesome matching pjs!) and I don't think you should ever feel that you shouldn't take pictures because your family is a three not a four or a five or a ten! It's all about not editing ourselves out of our children's childhood because we're always behind the camera and you do it brilliantly

  3. So lovely post and photos !

  4. I absolutely love seeing your family photos, I don't see them as any different to anyone else's - these are especially lovely with your matching pjs! Have a lovely new year :) xx
