Golden Bear Sleep Tight All Night Puppy | Review & Giveaway

* THIS IS A COLLABORATIVE POST

Harry has never been the best of sleepers and didn't start sleeping through the night completely until he was about 14 months old. Especially with the lighter evenings and early mornings over the summer it's completely messed up his bed time routine. I have tried a number of things over the past few months to get him to stay in bed and to sleep through the night, luckily he only wakes up once if he does so it's not too bad but as I don't go to sleep until late the last thing I want to be doing is waking up a few hours later to get him back to bed again.

We were recently sent the Golden Bear Sleep Tight All Night Puppy to review and it couldn't have come at a perfect time! I was actually looking at getting something similar as we do have a white noise machine already and I thought a soft toy with of some sort with noise would be great to comfort him in bed. As well as being a cute cuddly toy, the Sleep Tight All Night puppy offers some great solutions for a good night’s sleep.

Harry is obsessed with dogs at the moment so when I opened the box in front of him he squealed with delight and shouted "doggy". He loves the puppy and cuddled up with it straight away. The toy can be put into two modes: day time and night time which is easy to switch simply by undoing the bottom and flipping a few switches.

Daytime setting

When in day mode the puppy can be played with, it will light up in green and talk to you when you press it. It says short phrases which Harry can understand such as "give me a cuddle" "stroke my head" so he can interact with it. He loves giving the puppy cuddles and sits to read books with him too.

Night time setting

When it's time for bed it's easy to enable night time mode by a flick of a switch on the device inside the toy. You can then choose which relaxing sound setting to play and set a time period for it to play during the night. The only downside is that it only goes up to 12 hours, Harry goes to bed between 6.30-7pm depending on how tired he is and will usually sleep in until 8-9am on the weekends so as you can see it wouldn't last the whole 12 hours but it's not the end of the world. Once the timer is set the puppy's tummy with glow red and noise can be heard for 15 minutes before the sounds gets quieter and then goes off.

If Harry wakes during the night he can then press the puppy's tummy and it will starting glowing again and playing the sound quietly for about 5 minutes until he would go back to sleep again. Then in the morning when he wakes up if he presses the puppy's tummy it would light up green and he would then know it's time to wake up. Of course Harry is still a little young to understand this but it's good to introduce it his age so he'll have a better understanding when he is older.

Since the Sleep Tight All Night Puppy arrived Harry has stayed in his bed all night and not woken up as far as I'm aware. I hope it continues.
