School Reports, Rainy Adventures & Yummy Salads #Littleloves

In an attempt to document more of our lives on here I've decided to join in with more linky's which you many have noticed over the few weeks. One which I haven't taken part in before is #Littleloves hosted by Morgana over at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat Blog. I always enjoy reading everyones posts who link up so thought I'd join in and share those little things we've been loving each week.
This week we got Amelia's first ever school report, I wasn't expecting one as she's only in the nursery class but it was really nice to get to see it all the same. We are so proud of how well she's doing and how much she's improved over the year. Her vocabulary has come on leaps and bounds and she is exceeding in all areas.

We've also switched up Amelia's bookshelves and these are some of her current favourites to read. I really need to switch them up more often as she loves reading, but a lot of her books end up staying tucked away on another bookshelf.

Although I've been signed up to Netflix for a good few months now I've never really got stuck into watching anything other than The Walking Dead. However recently I've started watching Sherlock Holmes and really enjoying the series so far. I can't believe I've not watched them sooner!

I also enjoyed watching Katie's holiday vlog and it's made me excited for our holiday in November! Katie's holiday snaps and videos are always so beautiful but the editing in this vlog along with the drone footage are stunning! You can also read all about their family holiday to Majorca here.

Harry is repeating everything that Amelia says at the moment and she's always making him say things but this week she got him to say "boobies" which he finds hysterically funny as does his big sister.

Amelia wore her school uniform for the last time this week. I can't believe how fast this past year has gone and that she'll be in reception class in September! It only feels like yesterday that I went out and bought all of her uniform, and now we'll be stocking up on bigger sized and buying a P.E kit too.

I've been trying to eat healthier again this week although I had a Chinese takeaway last night and a Macdonald's for lunch today so that didn't go too well. One thing I hate eating is salad, but I found a dressing which I absolutely love so smother it in that and its edible. I have been loving this chicken and proscuitto salad with a garlic and herb dressing from Tescos. So yummy!!
We've been enjoying getting out in the fresh air and going on a few walks. Despite the weather not being too great up here at the moment and it definitely doesn't feel like summer it's still good to get out of the house. Hopefully we'll get some nice weather soon as Amelia broke up for the summer holidays yesterday and we don't want to be stuck in the house for the next 7 weeks!

Hope you've all had a lovely week.

  1. Oh wow that salad actually looks tasty! Not a big fan of salad - I'm also a sucker for Chinese takeaway! Well done Amelia on her school report! And love her school uniform! Our eldest is starting the early years school (or Cylch Meithrin equivalent) in September and she has a uniform!

You've reminded me, I need to sort out the reading material for our toddler. Getting a bit fed up of Thomas at the moment!! x

  3. So happy that you've joined in with Little Loves! And what a gorgeous first post!
Well done to Amelia on her school report, you must be so proud of her. I can't believe she's starting school in September, where has the time gone?
Her taste in books in very similar to my youngest girl, I can spot a lot of favourites on Amelia's shelf!
Hope you're having a great week xx
