How To Plan A Romantic Day Out

Especially if you’ve got kids, finding the time to spend a romantic day relaxing with your partner might be tricky. So, on the rare occasion that you are able to head off together and forget your responsibilities, for a few hours at least, you’ll no doubt want to make the most the opportunity. To help you plan the perfect date with your other half, here are some handy hints and tips.

Make time for some sumptuous food

If you and your partner love a great meal, and maybe the occasional tipple, ensure you make time for some sumptuous food. For once, you won’t have to worry about pleasing all the family, so you can be as adventurous and sophisticated as you like. If you’re heading to a town or city for your romantic day trip, you should be spoiled for choice when it comes to selecting an eatery. For example, if you’re visiting Liverpool, you can check out the range of Liverpool ONE restaurants located in this shopping and entertainment hub. There’s everything from the exotic Thai cuisine of Chaophraya to the more traditional delicacies on offer in the Exchange at Hilton.

Particularly if you don’t get the chance to dine out much with your other half, it’s worth splashing out on a really special eating experience. Bear in mind that it’s always a good idea to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment.

Try new activities

From shopping and cinema trips to loved-up strolls, there’s no shortage of activities to enjoy. But, for an experience that really sticks in your memory, you could try doing something completely new. Activities that take you out of your comfort zone can help to bring you closer as a couple and they’ll give you plenty to talk about. If you’ve got a head for heights, perhaps a hot air balloon ride over local attractions would be the perfect way to pass a few hours. You can even book airborne adventures that include champagne toasts as part of the package. You don’t have to go for things that are typically seen as romantic though. From wildlife watching boat trips to Segway tours, you can try your hand at a whole host of things.

Get your timings right

A little spontaneity can be a great thing when you’re relaxing with your partner. However, making sure you’ve got the basics of your plan nailed is a must if you want to avoid unnecessary stress and hassle. So, whatever you decide to put on your itinerary, it’s important to think carefully about your timings. Missing your bus or train home, arriving too late for a dinner reservation or finding that you run out of things to do can cause arguments and spoil your experience. If you want to ensure your day runs smoothly from start to finish, make sure you know where you need to be and when.

If you’re stuck for inspiration when you’re planning quality time with your partner, it’s worth doing some research online. There might be a whole range of activities and attractions that you’ve never even considered before.
