Harry's Toddler Room

Last week I got the toddler bed out of the attic and took down Harrys cot. He had been trying to climb out of it so I thought to prevent any accidents from happening I'd switch him to a bed. His room is the smallest of the house, with it being a box room. We're quite lucky that it has a built in wardrobe on the left as you walk in which is pretty big but it's in the corner and doesn't take up any of the room. The only downside is that there's not much space to do much else with the room. However I thought with having the cot out of there it would mean I'd have space to put boxes under his bed and it would also make the room look bigger without the bars around the bed.

This is what his room looked like for half a day, after nap time I ended up putting the cot back in there just incase he didn't sleep that night as he decided to drop his nap and he also threw everything out of the room so I removed everything apart from a few soft toys and a blanket. I've also resorted to tying his door shut with my dressing gown rope around the stairs ha ha as he thought it would be fun to open and slam the door for three hours! I will eventually put everything back in there and have slowly started introducing a few more of his things, but not enough for him to get excited about and want to play all night. Hopefully he'll get used to sleeping in there and go down quicker each night so I can finish his room as there are still a few things I want to purchase.

I'd love to hear what you think?
