Kids Playroom Plans

I am nearly done with decorating our home and really happy with how it's coming along so far given that we are renting and I can't really do a lot of the jobs that I wish to do. We have been living here for 3 years now and over that period of time I have really put our stamp on it. It has however given me the motivation to save up for our own house in a few years as I'd love to have space for a playroom for the kids and also to be able to design my own kitchen to my taste! We do however have a rather large attic so I have recently been looking at Pinterest for loft conversion inspiration as It would be the ideal space to move the main bedroom up there and use the bedroom as a playroom for the kids instead.

But for now we'll have to do with what we have, but that doesn't mean I can't dream, so here are my plans for a playroom in the future. Of course it would have to have some of the kallax units where are perfect for toy storage, we have them in nearly every room in the house as they're great for hiding everything away! I love the Ikea picture ledges, and again we have them across the house, so would like to create a reading corner with the shelfs as well as a teepee for somewhere comfy to read.

As you can see there's a bit of a neutral/monochrome theme going on and the playroom would be painted white which black and white furniture and decorative items. I have already bought the majority of the items shown above so it would be pretty easy to create a playroom if we had the extra space, but for now they're just scattered around the house.

Do you have a loft conversion? What would you use it for?

  1. I would most probably use the loft conversion as a haven for myself and the MR,a little romantic hub! The kids playroom ideas are cute; if you like scandi and minimalism see a minimalist nursery here http://similindgren.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/chances-minimalist-nursery.html

  2. Our flat is so small I'd love to be able to have a play room for Blake when he is older. Storage units are a must have!
