4 Things That No Woman Should Be Without

There are many items that you probably carry with you on a daily basis that you consider to be of great importance. While a hairbrush, compact mirror and a packet of tissues may seem vital, there are plenty of other essentials that could prove to be even more useful. Let’s have a look at four things that no woman should be without.

1. Contraception

As a modern woman, you’re probably aware of how important it is to take care of your sexual health. Whether you’re single or in a committed relationship, using contraception can reduce your chances of unwanted pregnancy, and if you choose to use condoms, you’ll also be protected from catching sexually transmitted diseases. There are various methods of birth control available now, such as the combined pill, diaphragms and the contraceptive implant.

You can access popular methods of contraception, like condoms and the Yasmin pill, in the UK from your local GP, sexual health clinic and reputable online pharmacies.

2. Extra money

Keeping some extra money on you at all times could be your saviour in your hour of need. While you may be tempted to splash your cash, making sure you keep a few notes and coins separate from your purse could help you out in an emergency. Whether your debit card gets declined, you misplace your wallet or you find yourself in need of a taxi, your secret stash could come in extremely handy.

3. Feminine hygiene products

To avoid being caught out by mother nature, make sure you’re never without a tampon or sanitary towel. Whether you’re expecting your period or not, it’s better to be safe than sorry. These products are often small in size and are usually packaged discreetly, so there’s no excuse to not keep your handbag stocked up just in case.

4. Portable mobile phone charger

If your mobile phone accompanies you wherever you go, it’s likely that you’ve experienced the unnerving feeling that can ensue after your gadget runs out of battery. To prevent yourself from being in this situation, you could invest in a portable mobile phone charger. These innovative devices are small and compact, meaning you can easily fit one into your bag. No matter how low your battery gets, this piece of tech will enable you to stay in contact with your friends and family all day long.

So, while you may consider yourself to be an independent woman, having these four items to hand could help you out when you need it most.

  1. Ugh. I always forget my phone charger and I'm sure my battery life gets worse every month. These days I just keep a spare in my desk at work and that definitely helps. Maybe I should keep all of these things in my desk!

  2. I never really thought about carrying money separately from my purse - perhaps a bit of naivety on my part but I'll definitely be taking that one on board!
