I started taking part in the Siblings project run by Lucy at Dear Beautiful at the beginning of last year. Seeing as Harry was born in January we were lucky enough to be able to start on the first month. However as Harry has got older and with my baby brain it's been a lot harder to get photos of them both together which makes me sad that I haven't captured a whole year of photos, I think the last one I took was in September! This year I want to capture at least one photo of my two babies together each month so here we are again starting again.
This past month I've seen a big difference in their relationship. It's great to see them both play together now that Harry is walking about more and they will both sit and play with their toys together, although Harry usually favours Amelia's. Amelia is still as protective over her as before and will always make sure he's okay if she hears him crying or if he's getting up to mischief she will pick him up and carry him back over to me which I had to admit the first time she did it I was quite worried but she was really gentle with him.
He responds a lot more to her now and although they've always interacted well together you can see he understands more of what she says. I love watching them both play together and they hardly ever leave each others side when at home. Amelia constantly tickles him which he loves and keeps going back to be tickled even more.
I am really excited to see how they grow this year and bond together as Harry gets older, which should be interesting. Although he will walk about at home he's not had the chance to walk outside with this awful weather as it's pretty cold but once it gets warmer I can't wait to take them both on walks together where Harry's not in the pushchair and they can both run around together and explore.
I'm hoping to take part in a few other projects this year and a few others which I have seen are Mummy and Me which I've taken part in before but have been bad at getting any photos of myself with the kids so that is going to change this year! Another project I really like the look of is The Me And Mine Project where I would snap a family portrait each month and share what we've been up to.
