Pampers #BetterForBaby & Giving Back To Our Community

Today, our friends at Pampers released a short film which showcases just how babies bring out the best in us all, highlighting that there’s nothing we wouldn’t do to make life #BetterForBaby.

Whether for your own beautiful brood, grandchildren, nieces and nephews or friends’ children, we all make changes to ensure that their lives are as happy as possible. Christmas is the perfect time of year to celebrate the love babies bring out in us all which is shown in Pampers' new video below.

This festive season, Pampers want to help spread the cheer by pledging to help make life #BetterForBaby in local communities. To do this Pampers are offering five £1,000 bursaries, to help people like you and I make life #BetterForBaby in our neighbourhoods!

We have been chosen by Pampers to receive one of the five £1000 bursaries to give to our charity of choice! This is such a generous thing for Pampers to do and I am so pleased to be given this opportunity to give back to my local community. The charity I will be donating to is Ty Gobaith/Hope House Children's Hospice in Conwy who provide care and support to life-limited children and their families.

Tŷ Gobaith opened in 2004 and provides care and support to children and their families living in the North Wales area. The hospice is run along similar lines to its sister hospice, Hope House, but is sensitive to the needs of the local population, many of whom speak Welsh as a first language. Tŷ Gobaith is a beautiful 'home from home' with stunning views across the estuary. The site was chosen for the peace and tranquillity it affords the children and families who visit.

They have four children's bedrooms and three parents/family rooms with the flexibility of using one as a fifth child's bedroom in an emergency. Each child's bedroom has access to an adjoining bathroom with specialist equipment, including ceiling hoists. There is a multi-sensory room, computer room, lounge, playroom, therapy room, kitchen and dining room and a parents' lounge.

I'd love to help Ty Gobaith by giving them this donation to help make the stay as comfortable as possible for the children and their families and hopefully allowing them to take the stress away from having to buy those essentials such as nappies, bedding, toys and also supporting Ty Gobaith to create a calming atmosphere and facilities for the families across the house. Hope House now have 15 shops across Wales and North England with our local shop here in Bangor. I will be donating nappies, toys, bedding and much more.

In celebration of all that people do ensure that babies can live their loves to the fullest, Pampers are offering five £1,000 bursaries, to help you make life #BetterForBaby in your local area. Maybe you want to improve some much-needed changing facilities, supply nappies and blankets to a local shelter, or update playtime equipment for a community nursery… anything goes! You can apply by following @Pampers_UK on Twitter and tweeting a description of how you’d use the bursary, tagging @Pampers_UK and using the hashtag #BetterForBaby. T&Cs apply - see Pampers.co.uk for details.
