The bathroom is one room in the house that should feel relaxing and calm yet inviting at the same time especially when guests come round. Sometimes it can get cluttered with kids toys and rubber ducks but with these tricks your bathroom can have a luxurious feel without spending a fortune or having to fit in a new bathroom! So here are my top tips on how to create a luxury bathroom with these 5 simple steps.
1. Use soothing colours
If you're wanting a relaxing vibe then a cool soothing colour is perfect for a bathroom, a soft grey or blue would work well on the walls as would an off-white or even beige if you're going for a hotel boutique look. If possible try to keep to two colours. I'd recommend using laminate or vinyl flooring as it's easy to keep clean and you can find many Luxury Flooring and Furnishings which don't cost and arm and a leg to give that luxurious feeling.
2. Use baskets for storage
I have baskets everywhere in my bathroom, for keeping toilet roll, bath toys, my make up and also body washes and shower accessories. There are so many uses for them and they keep the bathroom looking less cluttered and more luxury. You can buy some wicker baskets from eBay or your local pound shop and they don't look cheap or tacky.
3. Invest in nice towels
These don't have to be the most expensive but it's always nice to have fancy towels on show. You can then have the not so good ones rolled up in a cupboard out of sight. You can still find "luxury" towels at decent prices from Dunelm milll, the range or even Tesco.
4. Roll up your towels
Speaking of towels one trick which I think makes a bathroom feel more luxurious and almost spa like is by simply rolling your towels and having them on display. Whether than be in a unit, basket, on a shelf, behind the door. There are so many creative ways to display them which won't cost you must at all.
5. Keep extra toilet paper in sight
Don't you hate it when you go to a friends house and use their bathroom and notice there's only about 1 or 2 squares left on the toilet roll before it's too late? It happens all the time! You don't want to be rummaging through their cabinets looking for spare ones and neither do you want guests to be doing the same in your bathroom. Keep extra toilet rolls visible so no one has to go looking for them. A nice pile of rolls in a basket is fine and gives it a bit of a luxury feel instead of just stacked up on top of the toilet.
These are just some easy and cost effective ways to spruce up your bathroom. Do you have any tips to share on how to create a luxury bathroom on a budget?
