OUTDOOR SUMMER LIVING

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8

Who doesn't love spending most of the summer outdoors? When the house is far too hot to be sat inside you may as well take your self outside and enjoy the fresh air. Although we haven't been lucky enough to do that much this year due to the good ole' British weather and living in North Wales, well you're lucky to see sunshine most of the year.

We were recently sent some items for the garden which are perfect for enjoying family days in the sun or hosting a barbecue. Ever since we moved in I have been meaning to buy some items for the garden. Homebase recently got in touch and asked if we'd like to review some items from their outdoor living range so I opted for some cushions for our table and chair set for extra comfort, a couple of planters and some artificial hanging balls as I am absolutely useless at keeping anything other than my children alive! Seriously, I've bought and killed so many plants over the years I've stopped buying them! At least this way I won't have to worry about them and the garden will still look pretty.

We were also sent a few decorative pieces to add some finishing touches to the garden. Firstly I chose this lovely heard wooden memo chalkboard as I thought it would be nice to hang on the fence or gate. I also chose this lovely cream watering can and this green lantern which I thought would look nice on the table.

If I had the space, I'd love an outdoor decking area with a hot tub and outdoor seating with a chimnea. I really do miss having a larger garden as that's one thing we sacrificed when we moved here even though we prefer the area and the house we don't have a large garden and it's paved. I'm hoping to buy the kids a wooden playhouse next summer as I know they'd love playing in it.

I believe we are in for another heat wave next month if we can trust the weather prediction then we'll be in for a treat! I can't wait to get out the summer furniture and host a few barbecues! It's such a shame I can't take any photos of the products as we're yet to have a dry day for the past god knows how many weeks!  I'll have to show you what it all looks like once the sun is out.

Do you like to spend most of the summer out in the garden? What would be in your dream garden?

  1. I hope you are right and there will be a heatwave, I can't believe I had to have the heating on today. I never tire of buying things for the garden and I love the items you have picked. Even with just a paved area you can do so much with growing in pots and a bit of fairy lighting strung up. Love that chalk memo board x
