AMELIA'S ROOM MAKEOVER

Girls room decor

I've been wanting to re-do Amelia's bedroom for some time now in fact for well over a year but with being pregnant, Harry's arrival and doing up his nursery I simply didn't have time and it wasn't urgent so decided to leave it. However I've recently been looking at some furnishings and decor for her room as I think it's about time to change it up a little. I want to keep it simple and neutral yet with a pop of colour but will be cutting down the colour pink wherever possible as her room has turned into a pink palace!

I'm really into the modern scandi trend at the moment along with monochrome so will be implementing both of these into her room. Her room is pretty big so I have plenty of space to work with and will be getting rid of some of the old furniture along with her baby toys to turn it into a more big girls room. The great thing about this type of decor is the fact that it will grow with her and I shouldn't have to change much over the years.

I want to keep her room minimal so will be buying more storage boxes for her and I'm thinking of getting rid of her chest of drawers and sorting out all of her clothes to fit into the wardrobe instead, this should allow more room for her to play in and keep the room de-cluttered.

I shall share a room tour once I have finished her room, which probably won't be for a good few months yet as I need time to do it which isn't a lot with Amelia off nursery and a baby to look after too!

What do you think of my plans for her room?

  7. I love this its very different, especially as I'm not a huge fan of cartoon kids rooms. I'm hopefully changing my boys room up soon and loving the chevron idea :)

  8. Great idea. I'm going to do up Matthew's room as it's still all Winnie pooh. I just can't get away from the idea to add Disney into it but simply one colour looks so cool too.
