Harrison turned five months old today, FIVE months! I honestly can't believe how quick this year has gone already. It only feels like yesterday I was pacing up and down my living room in early labour before heading to the hospital to give birth. It really is true what they say that time with the second baby goes so much faster than with the first. He has become such a little cheeky boy this month and he just amazes me each and every day.
He is getting so big, although I don't think he's as big as Amelia was at this age even if he is chubbier he weighs less than she did and is a little shorter. He doesn't have any teeth yet but has been dribbling and chewing everything he can since he was three months old. Amelia has a tooth cutting through by this stage so I'm sure it will happen soon. His hair is growing so fast and it sticking up at the top, its all cute and fuzzy after he has a bath.
I decided to put him down in the cot for nap times last week as he seemed to stop napping downstairs and would only sleep for 20 minutes here or there. It was a success and he's started sleeping for 1-2 hours around 11am and then again late afternoon which is nice. I'm glad he's taken to the cot well at this age as Amelia wouldn't which I think was partly down to breastfeeding and her co-sleeping with me so she would always have to fall asleep mid-feed and then as soon as I'd put her down she'd wake up right away. Harry is more of a deep sleeper and likes his sleep with is great! He's not sleeping in the fully at night time yet, although I am working on it. He tend to sleep from when I take him up around 8pm until 2am and I then bring him into bed with me although he stirs a few times before then.
We are off on our first little road trip together this weekend to London which will be nice and I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with him.
