10 USEFUL APPS FOR BLOGGERS

I honestly don't know where I would be without my iPhone.

It's pretty much my lifeline to the outside world. I use it every single day, as soon as I wake up to the moment I go to bed. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is check my emails and social media platforms. I would be very disconnected without it. As a mum of two I barely get time to sit down on the laptop during the day so my phone is the only way to keep connected and can easily be done whilst feeding or cooking dinner.

Are you a blogger who is constantly glued to their smartphone? I Thought so! Apps make blogging easier and I'm sure there's an app out there for anything you could possibly need. They simplify my life in so many ways, and they're also fun to use! I've put together a list of apps that I can't live without, and I think you'll agree!

Here are 10 of my favourite apps for bloggers:

I don't think I need to explain Facebook or Twitter - they're both no brainers right? I'm pretty sure if you're a blogger you will already have one or both of these apps.

Instagram - Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years you'll no doubt have heard about Instagram. If you don't already use it sign up! It's a great way to share more with your readers as well as gain more traffic.

Bloglovin - I started using the Bloglovin app as soon as it was released and love it! It's so handy for reading your favourite blogs on the go.

Afterlight - This is my favourite photo editing app and is what I use on a daily basis to brighten, crop, resize images to post to Instagram and Facebook.

PayPal - If you have monetised your blog then you'll most likely be using PayPal for invoicing. I use PayPal on a daily basis and it's great for keeping track on sending invoices, checking when payments have been received and transferring money to my personal bank account

Sign Easy - If you are working with brands, you may need to sign contracts. Instead of printing them out and scanning it's much faster to use this app to sign with your signature online.

Facebook Pages - I prefer using Facebook Pages when sharing blog related posts on my Facebook page. It's easier to navigate than the regular Facebook app and it also gives you access to your scheduled posts. There's also no need to log out and then back in to switch pages which is great!

Pinterest - This app is great for getting a little inspiration whilst making a cup of tea or waiting at the school gate. I also pin my posts using the app when I haven't got time to go on the laptop.

Buffer - I have only recently started using Buffer and cannot praise it enough! It gives me access to all of my pending and previous shares whilst on the go making it easy to re-share posts if you are away from home. I take time to sit down one morning a week, usually on a Monday and set up my Buffer queue to share my top posts via Facebook and Twitter throughout the week. It only takes 15 minutes! I also use Buffer for managing other social accounts which I have access to.

Google Analytics - I like to keep track of my stats every so often and the easiest way to do this is by using the Google Analytics app. It's much easier than having to log in online.

Google Adsense - This is a handy app to keep track of your daily earnings across your sites in real time.

Although it's not an app I would highly suggest making an icon for your blog on your phone's home screen. Having an icon on your home screen makes it much easier to click on for example to check whether your posts have published instead of typing in the URL on Safari. To do this you simply open you blog in Safari and click the arrow on the bottom of the screen and click, 'Add to home screen.'

Some other handy apps for bloggers include:

Blogger/Wordpress
Stumble Upon
Google Adsense
Dropbox
Google+
VSCO Cam
