Decorating a kids room or nursery can take a lot of planning, from the colour of the walls down to the added little touches it can be rather time consuming even if it is enjoyable. One of the most difficult decisions I always have is finding a rug which goes with the rest of the decor in the room, and the same goes for the kids bedrooms too!
In the end with Amelia's room I opted for a white cotton rug to keep in with the neutral feel to the room and I also chose the same for Harry's nursery although it did take me a while to decide. I'm now looking at changing his room over the next few months and I have had the hardest time finding a rug to match although I think I have narrowed it down to some of those pictured above. I'm going for a black and white monochrome look with a batman theme. I had wanted to do this to his nursery before he was born but I wasn't sure if it would look right for a baby. I often get bored so like to switch things up every once in a while so it will give me something to look forward to.
If you're after a more natural rug to add to the room then Rug Mountain have a vast variety of rugs including sheepskin, shaggy and kids rugs so there's something to suit everyones taste. If you're going for a scandinavian look then this bear floor blanket would look gorgeous paired with a teepee tent and some cushions. Fan of the monochrome then this black chevron rug may be perfect for you and would look simply amazing with any black and white decor you had in mind. Have an obsession with stars? How about this grey star rug to match with those grey curtains and bedding you've found? It would look perfect in a nursery or older kids bedroom.
