These days £100 doesn't go very far at all, especially when you have children as you're always needing to buy them something new whether that be clothes, shoes, toys, bedding or school uniform the list is endless. I was recently asked by TSB to share what I would do with a spare £100. I very rarely have a spare £100 to spend on myself. In fact the only time I tend to treat myself these days is with Birthday or Christmas money so as you can imagine that's not very often!
So if I was to spend the money on myself I would treat myself to a new wardrobe as I'm in dire need of some new clothes and summer shoes! Although in reality I would most probably end up spending the money on new clothes for the kids as you can never have enough clothes with how fast kids grow these days! At the moment I am loving Zara and Next for baby and toddler clothes and with summer coming up I can't wait to update their wardrobes!
If I weren't to spend it on new clothes I would love to put it towards a day out somewhere with the kids. I love nothing more than seeing the kids happy and as Amelia has become a huge Peppa Pig fad as of late I really want to take Amelia to Peppa Pig World as I just know she'd love it! But seeing as it's over 4 and a half hours away it's really not worth going for just the day so we would most likely need to stay over and could visit the park over two days.
So you may be wondering why £100, well I was asked by TSB what I would spend a spare £100 on because that's the maximum amount of interest you can earn if you open a TSB Plus Account (5% AER on up to £2000) with them. The account improves over time as your interest grows.
Here are a bunch of other things that also improve over time;
What would you do with a spare £100? I'd love to know!
