TINKERBELL AND THE LEGEND OF THE NEVERBEAST

I've been wanting to take Amelia to the cinema for the longest time now but just haven't plucked up the courage to do so. She's not the type of child who will sit down and watch a film, in fact she won't sit still for more than 5 minutes at a time unless she's in the car seat! She's constantly on the go and always wants to be active which is why we decided to wait until she was slightly older before taking her to the cinema. I will be taking her for her birthday later this week for her first cinema experience which I am looking forward to and think she'll love. We watch many films together at home but she doesn't actually sit down on the sofa to watch them, she will be playing with her toys, running around minding her own business or stood right in front of the TV for a short while.

We were invited to a home viewing of the new Tinkerbell and the legend of the neverbeast movie which was released today in the shops and to celebrate the launch we were lucky enough to get a copy of the DVD on Friday for a sneak preview along with a Tinkerbell plush toy, fairy wings, figures and some popcorn to enjoy! Once the popcorn was open Amelia was really excited to watch the film and to my surprise she actually sat down for the first half hour and didn't take her eyes off the TV!

I won't spoil it for anyone but it really is a lovely film full of beautiful animations and catchy songs which I found myself humming along to. Once the film had finished Amelia asked to watch it again, of course I wasn't going to say no as it's a change from having Frozen on constantly! Amelia has watched it about 10 times this weekend - no exaggeration! She loves it!

Disney's Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast is out now on DVD and Blu-Ray. Get your copy here and come and join in with the conversation over on Twitter using the hashtag #TINKERBELLNEVERBEAST.

* Thank you Disney for the Tinkerbell goodies!

  3. Elsa is the same. She never sits still! We have The Little Mermaid and Frozen on quite a bit but she hardly sits through more than about 20 minutes. I did take her to the cinema to see the special Peppa Pig though and she did manage to make it through the entire thing.
