My beautiful not so little girl turns three today. I just can't believe it, it's been the quickest three years of my life but by far the best because she's been in it. She has grown up to become such a sweet little girl, of course she has her moments where tantrums are involved but for the most part she is caring, loving and joyful to be around.
She has come on leaps and bounds this past year and her development has excelled extremely. She will be starting nursery for two days a week next Wednesday which makes me sad but I know she will love it and it will do her the world of good to interact with more children. She will then be going five days a week from September. How is she old enough to be going to nursery and school is beyond me? I'd have her at home for a couple of more years if it was up to me!
She has taken on her role as big sister extremely well and loves her little brother. She is so helpful with him and is always wanting to know where he is or what he's doing. She will call him by his name now and not just Harry so that's good. Especially as she won't say her own name yet! She calls herself "Yang". Don't ask, as we have no idea where she got it from but started calling herself it one day and she just won't say Amelia even though she can spell it and say out each letter. She laughs when she says it though so I think she's doing it to get a reaction. I'm hoping she stops saying it soon as it will be funny introducing herself at nursery otherwise!
Many say she is tall for her age, I've not really noticed to be honest but she is quite tall. She is very slim which causes problems finding trousers that fit because of her slim waist. She is a 12-18/18-24 on the waist but needs to be in 2-3 in length which always end up falling down. She still has huge feet and is a size 10 now which I believe is pretty big for her age. She prefers to play on her own however does let me play with her more these days instead of telling me to sit down. Her imagination is incredible, she is always making up stories and telling me random things.
Her hair is still as crazy as ever, but I'm planning on taking her to get it cut soon in hope that it will help it grow a bit better. It has grown a lot this past year though which is good. It's just so hard to control.
We haven't really got anything planned for her birthday but will be having family over throughout the day to celebrate with us. On Thursday we will be taking her to Chester zoo which seems to have become a birthday tradition as we've been every birthday so far! I'm looking forward to taking her this time though as she will know more animals compared to last year, plus Harrison will be with us too.
I can't believe I now have a three year old?!
