EASY WAYS TO TRANSFORM YOUR BATHROOM

I've previously spoken about how I'd love a complete bathroom makeover however seeing as we are currently living in a private rented property we aren't able to do so or at least not to my taste and preferences. With that in mind I have been looking for some bathroom inspiration and storage solutions to spruce up the bathroom seeing as we can't change anything drastically.

DBS Bathrooms have created an interesting piece of content which explores the easiest ways to rejuvenate your bathroom which I thought I would share with you all today. They explain how it's not always necessary to have a complete makeover and have shared some of their top tips to make your bathroom look more impressive without starting from scratch.

One of their suggestions is to lay down new flooring as flooring can change the entire feel of a room. We currently have white/grey ceramic effect tiles in our bathroom which I really do like as they are neutral although I would love to change it to wooden flooring as pictured above. I'd love a bathroom with dark grey/black tiles on the walls, cream/white walls and a light wooden floor to go with it. It would need to be waterproof especially with the kids getting in and out of the bath and it would also be easier to clean.

Another favourite tip of mine from DBS is to redecorate your walls. They may be outdated especially if you've not changed them since you bought the property or moved in many years ago. Simply updating your walls can change the entire look of the bathroom. I like the idea of using dark colours on the wall and white/cream accessories to decorate. Also as DBS suggested if you have a small bathroom using light colours can create the illusion of a bigger space.

For cheaper alternatives to changing up your bathroom on a budget I would suggest switching up your accessories and towels. For example get rid of your black towels and soap dish and buy a new range. Simple touches like these can completely change the look of a bathroom at little cost.

There are many other ways to rejuvenate your bathroom as suggested in the article such as installing a stylish shower splash back and to use colour as a focal point of the room. You can read the full article here for more tips and inspiration.
