Hi everyone, hope you've all had a lovely Easter weekend! I think I've consumed far too much chocolate, but that's okay because my diet starts tomorrow...or maybe the day after that once we've finished all of the chocolate. Thank god I didn't go mad on the Easter eggs this year as we were still eating them come July last year ha ha! It's been a lovely weekend with brilliant weather to top it off! Friday was a normal chilled day at home with the kids and on saturday Amelia wanted to dress up as Anna so she was Anna for the rest of the day. I think the wig kind of suits her, and I can see her looking like that if she had long hair! We watched Frozen countless times and had a fun packed afternoon of drawing and playing hide and seek! I also gave Amelia her Easter basket as I knew we wouldn't be home on Easter Sunday so at least she could have her treats over the course of the weekend.
Easter Sunday my parents had invited us round for lunch mid-afternoon and picked us up at noon to go for a walk first seeing as the sun was shining it seemed a shame to waste the day cooped up inside. We went to Beddgelert, a local village not too far from my parents house and took a lovely stroll down by the river. Amelia enjoyed running about and playing with Grandad. We then went back home and whilst waiting for the food to cook Amelia went on an Easter egg hunt my brothers had set out for her. She really enjoyed it and found all the treats straight away, maybe next year my brothers need to step it up a gear and find better hiding places! We had a fun afternoon running around my parents land and Amelia also went on her rollerskates for the first time!
On Easter Monday my parents rang me in the morning and asked if we'd like to go to the beach with them later on that afternoon. How could we say no to an afternoon at the beach! We had a lovely time, the weather was scorching even though we were dressed for winter. We spent a couple of hours on the beach building sandcastles, paddling in the sea and running along the beach. Harrison was awake the whole time we were there and Amelia had a lovely time playing with her grandparents so much so she was flat out at 7pm! Here are some more photos from our afternoon at the beach.
