HOW TO PLAN A GLUTEN FREE PARTY

Thinking about planning a party while you are on a gluten free diet? There are a lot of interesting, delicious and healthy recipes for people like you. Don’t think that your party will be boring. In addition to traditional snacks and sweets, you will be able to treat your guests even to finest celia gluten free beer and other goodies.

Grilled recipes are great for parties. Cooking over hot coals is a fun centrepiece for a party, especially when the weather is good! Usually we choose meat, fish or vegetables that will surely mean diversity on our plates. Salads, sauces and (gluten free) bread play an important role in the preparation of delicious grilled meals. And all of this is without gluten.

Meat and fish

Beef, pork or chicken, steak, sausage or kebab - meat is always a favourite product for grilling. There is a basic rule for cooking grilled meat: stay away from the products that are sold marinated because of gluten; try to marinate it yourself, for example in gluten free beer. The same applies to fish: it is better to buy organic foods and season it with your own spices. Fish is best to cook in aluminium pan or foil to keep it from sticking to the grill grate.

In order to prepare your own marinade, mix vegetable oil with spices according to your taste and let the meat or fish marinade for a few hours. Do not use spicy mixtures or salt with spices because they may contain gluten.

Vegetarian party

Vegetables offer variety, colour and guilt-free healthiness to any party. Try grilled vegetable skewers, corn, grilled cheese and potatoes cooked in foil. Don’t forget the main thing: everything that is prepared by you does not contain gluten. Such vegetables as peppers, onions, zucchini and eggplant combined with any spices are ideal for barbecue. In order to cook your own grilled cheese, take a piece of feta cheese, put it on aluminium foil, drizzle with olive oil, add Italian herbs and sun-dried tomatoes and then wrap up tightly in foil. To prepare potatoes in foil, pre-boil potatoes and then place on the grill for a few minutes or put directly on the coals.

Enjoy your meal and your gluten free party!

  2. I don't know anyone that's gluten free but if I did I think I'd rather go to theirs than try and cater for them! x
