AFTERNOON WALKS & FRESH AIR

Yesterday afternoon Andy had to go into work on his day off and I didn't want to waste the day stuck in the house yet again so I decided to go for a walk with both of the kids. I drove to a nearby forest which we've been to a few times in the past and let Amelia run about. I've found that if we are indoors all day that she tends to play up and has many more tantrums so I thought it would be good to get her out in the fresh air and hopefully tire her out. I popped Harrison into the solly wrap and off we went. Amelia loved running off and kept bringing sticks back for Harry and to check that he was okay which was sweet. We walked and held hands stopping and speaking to some fellow walkers who were asking Amelia about her little brother and she kept introducing him to everyone. It soon started raining so we turned around and made our way back to the car.

It was the first time that I'd braved going out on my own with both the kids other than walking round the corner to the park and it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I had imagined. Harry wasn't the issue, it's Amelia as she can be a handful most of the time which is why I decided to take him in the sling incase I'd need to run after her as she does like to run off especially when she's not getting her own way. I'll definitely make the effort to go out with them both more often in the week whilst Andy's at work however I don't think I'll brave the pushchair and Amelia walking scenario just yet!

  2. It looks like such a lovely outing. I used to find using a sling so much easier with two as you have both hands free. High five for being brave and getting out with both, it'll be second nature in no time x

  8. My little one is the same, you can notice the difference in his behaviour when we've gone out to when we stay indoors. I bet you had a lovely little walk, certainly looks like it.
