DIY MATERNITY PHOTOS

Today I wanted to share a few shots from a home maternity shoot I did this week. I regret not taking any when pregnant with Amelia and I only have the handful of bump photos which I took towards the end of my pregnancy. I am so glad that I've documented this pregnancy and have taken plenty of photos already to keep to look back on but I wanted some nicer photos instead of my weekly bump shots so I decided to set up a quick and easy at home shoot earlier this week. I left it too late to book someone as there are no maternity photographers in our area which would mean travelling 100+ miles and most of them are booked up well in advance.

I'm actually quite pleased with how they turned out considering I used my tripod and timer! It's quite difficult to get shots from different angles using a tripod so the majority of theses are pretty similar. I would have liked to have taken some outdoor shots but the weather hasn't been too great here recently and I don't fancy having people staring at me stood on my tod with my tripod in the middle of no where posing for the camera like an idiot!

Amelia didn't really want to play along, even if I did try bribing her with chocolate. I guess it's not easy getting maternity photo's with a hyperactive toddler who doesn't like sitting still or doing what they are asked.

Let me know what you think!

Did you take any maternity photo's during your pregnancy?
