33 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE BABY #2

Don't mind the paint , I still haven't decided on which colour to go with yet!

Crikey, 33 weeks where did that come from? It doesn't feel that long ago since I passed the half way mark, this pregnancy has gone by so so fast! This week baby boy is the size of a durian (yes I had to google it too) he is about 17 inches long and weighs roughly 4.25lb.

I went on maternity leave with Amelia around this stage of my pregnancy as I was put on bed rest due to working too much and fainting. I've decided this time to work until December 22nd where I will be 38 weeks so hopefully I will be fine until then. I want to work for as long as possible this time before being off but I also want to enjoy Christmas and have a couple of weeks to relax before he arrives.

I now weigh 8st 8lb so am putting weight on which is good and I've put on 3lbs since I turned 30 weeks. Still no stretch marks to report and I'm actually quiet surprised as I keep forgetting to use any creams at night. I'm hoping I'm lucky again and don't get any - fingers crossed. This week I've been getting lots of leg and foot cramps, pretty much every time I bend down, stretch on my toes to reach anything, move when in bed, wiggle my toes...it's rather annoying especially at work!

My bump is looking massive compared to when I was pregnant with Amelia! I can't believe how much I've popped recently. I could hide my bump last time round at this stage and only friends and family knew I was pregnant as you couldn't tell by looking at me. Here's my bump at 33 weeks with Amelia.

I bought a few more bits for my hospital bag this week which have been arriving over the last few days, I can't wait to have it all packed and ready. I'd hate to be one of these women who go into labour without having anything packed! I like to be prepared. I also want to have a clear out in the house before he arrives as I hate clutter and don't really want to be living in a mess when he's here.

I still need to buy a few bits for the little man before he arrives and everything else can be bought once he's here as we don't need them right away. I must paint his room soon, I keep putting it off as I really can't be bothered! I would like it done before Christmas ideally!

Check out my 32 week update here.

  11. what a lovely bump! It's nice to have the bump creme but really it's just nice for the top layers of the skin, stretch marks come from the bottom layers of the skin. I've got them and I tried all sorts of stuff but nothing helped at all. You must have the kind of skin that doesn't get affected by it :)
Heyy just thought, you'll have to change the name of your blog when he comes along! x
