RUSSELL THE DREAM SHEEPDOG

I've wanted to get Amelia a puppy ever since she was born, well to be honest I've always wanted a puppy since I moved out. Unfortunately we can't have one just yet as we're living in private rented accommodation so the next best thing is owning Russell the dream sheepdog! You may have already heard of Ewan the dream sheep who is most parents best friend when it comes to bedtime helping soothing babies and toddlers making it the ultimate baby sleep aid.

Russell the dream sheepdog launched on September 1st 2014 and we were very excited to be one of the first testers across the UK to get our hands on one. Amelia loves dogs so as soon as she saw him she instantly ran over shouting dog and wanted to play with him.

Russell has become her new bedtime pal and she loves snuggling up to him every night. She always went to sleep holding my hand but now she has Russell she has started to fall asleep on her own cuddling him of course.

Russell is aimed at toddlers from 18 months to accompany toddlers at night time, Amelia is now 2 and a half and I can definitely see her cuddling up to him for many more years!

If you press on his right front paw the light comes on his chest which changes between blue and green and this will stay on for thirty minutes. This is one of our favourite features as it's aimed to comfort your little one if they're scared of the dark of need help drifting off to sleep. If you press his left front paw Russell with play a recording on loop. You can record a message for your little one or playback their favourite lullaby, I've recorded Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as that's her favourite bedtime lullaby.

Russell definitely isn't just for night time, he now comes with us most places too and Amelia loves eating with him at the table. As you can see she loves him!

Russell is available to purchase from Sweet Dreamers, John Lewis or Boots for just £34.99. I think he would make a lovely 1st/2nd birthday present or even for Christmas. I would definitely recommend buying your toddler one especially if they have trouble sleeping on their own or are afraid of the dark. Why not upgrade to Russell when your little one out grows Ewan?

* We were sent Russell for the purpose of this review, however all opinions are our own and he is very much loved!
