PUMPKINS & HALLOWEEN DECOR

Happy Halloween Eve! You know me, I'm not one to let a holiday pass by and love celebrating them especially now that Amelia is getting older. We've been getting in the Halloween spirit this week and today we've been carving pumpkins. Our pumpkins aren't the best but I'm not very creative and didn't really have much time, but I guess they'll do.

I also painted the bump as a pumpkin, I know I didn't do a very good job. It's pretty hard to do upside down ha ha! But I enjoyed doing it and it's great to have something to look back on. When I was pregnant with Amelia I didn't take many photo's at all and regret it. I remember seeing something similar when I was pregnant with Amelia as I was also pregnant during Halloween however didn't have the slightest bump so there wasn't much point at all.

This Ghostly Treats Yankee Candle is part of their Halloween collection and I've been enjoying burning it over the past week. The scent is Gooey Toasted Marshmallow and has quiet a sweet aroma which makes me want to eat it! I love the spooky imagery on the glass and it makes it different than their usual transparent jars. When lit the candle really does transform a windowsill or mantel piece. This is the medium sized jar which will burn for about 65-90 hours and is priced at £16 but is currently on offer.

I don't tend to decorate much for Halloween as Amelia tends to pull everything down that catches her eye, so when she's older I'm looking forward to being able to put up more decorations. I decided to decorate the fireplace with a few bits and pieces and some bunting (which has now been pulled down!) Etsy also has some lovely Halloween decor which I have saved for next year! The Boo banner below is one of my favourites which is currently upstairs in Amelia's reading corner.

I love switching up Amelia's books every now and again and Halloween is another excuse to do so! You can find out what's on Amelia's Halloween bookshelf here

We were recently sent a box full of Halloween goodies from Lovebrands which we will be using on Friday to create some spooky creations!

What have you all got planned for Halloween?

  1. I think your pumpkins are awesome, I've never attempted to carve a pumpkin before so I have no idea how difficult it is.
