I have an obsession with lamps and pretty decorative lighting around the house. I think lighting makes your home nice and cosy especially in the winter. To keep up with my light obsession we were recently sent a set of Cable and Cotton lights to review, we chose the 'Glow' set which is a sophisticated mix combining the colours pale grey, ivory and oatmeal which goes perfectly with our home decor and style.
Cable & Cotton have a wide selection of pre-selected lights to choose from - cotton candy, Marshmallow, Mojito just to name a few which have all been selected by the designers within the company. You can also choose your own colours if you are wanting to go with a specific colour choice. You are welcome to choose as many or little colours as you wish to create your string light combination. The lights arrived in a lovely box with a string of lights ready for you to put together. It was pretty simple to thread the string through the balls and I had my lights ready to go within minutes. I love the fact that it comes like this as it means you can put the balls in any colour sequence you wish.
What I love the most about these lights is the fact that they can be used all over the house, perhaps on the mantelpiece, hung up on the wall or over a mirror or even for dressing up a table the options are endless. At the moment they are in the nursery until I buy a few more decorative items for our mantelpiece and then they will live there over the next few months. I love how cosy they make the house feel and can't wait to create a nice snug atmosphere now that the nights are getting darker and colder.
They look amazing when they're not switched on which I tend to find that normal fairy lights look tacky when they're not turned on. But these colourful balls look amazing in any room and add a touch of whimsy to your home. I'm already looking at purchasing another set for Amelia's room but I just can't decide on which colours to choose from as there's so much choice!
These lights start from £22.95 for a pre-selected string of 20 and are also available at £32.95 for 35 lights as well as £42.95 for 50 lights. You can purchase your own set from their website here and even take a look at how the lights look when on and off to help you decide which set to pick.
What do you think of this type of lighting? Do you have a set of Cable & Cotton lights in your home?
