30 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE BABY #2

Just 10 more weeks to go (give or take). This pregnancy has literally flown by, I can't believe how fast it has gone! It only feels like yesterday that we found out we were expecting again. This week baby boy is the size of a cabbage or cucumber depending on which app I look at although I don't ever think I've seen a cabbage being the same size as a cucumber before? He now roughly weighs 2.75lb and is about 15.7 inches long.

There's a bit more to update you on this week compared to the last couple of months so let's get to it!

I finally had a midwifes appointment this week after not having one since 16 weeks which went well. I got to listen to babys heartbeat which was nice as I haven't used my doppler in months. He is measuring 3 weeks behind though which I was surprised about as I feel massive and am much bigger than I was with Amelia at this stage even though she was always measuring weeks ahead. I told her about my braxton hicks and have been told to drink more so I don't end up in hospital again for monitoring.

I've put on a few more pounds and now weigh 8st 5lb, I hope I don't go over 9 stone as that will be the heaviest I've ever been! I didn't even weigh this much when pregnant with Amelia! Still no stretch marks to report and I'm still wearing my pre-pregnancy clothing although I am debating whether to buy a pair of skinny jeans as I'm sure you can see the ones I'm wearing above are getting a bit tight!

Sleep has been okay this week, although I'm still waking with cramps. I'm not been woken up to pee so that's good but I am always bursting when I wake up in the morning. It doesn't help that Amelia is waking up earlier either and sometimes still comes through during the night around 2/3am as that disturbs me and it does take a while to get back to sleep.

Baby boy has been very active these past few days and I have also been feeling him hiccuping which I don't remember feeling with Amelia until a bit later on.

With just 10 weeks left I am starting to panic even though we've been through all of this before, I think it's more of a "are we ready" worry especially with Christmas just around the corner the next couple of months are going to fly by and then he'll be here before we know it! I still need to paint the nursery, at the moment it has different patches of tester paints on the walls as I can't decide on which shade of white to go for. I also want to finish off his wardrobe before Christmas too and have everything organised in it's place.

  1. Aw, your bump looks gorgeous. You're really lucky, I gained a lot of weight during both my pregnancies and was out of my normal clothes by 12 weeks! I think all the painting and organising gets easier once the nesting instinct kicks in, as there's no stopping you! xxx
