26 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE BABY #2

Another week has flown by, I can't keep up anymore it feels like I'm writing these updates every day! and not each week. We're so close to the third trimester! This week baby boy is now the size of a lettuce or a hothouse cucumber what ever that is? He is roughly 14 inches (35cm) long and weighs around 1.75lb.

I've had a cold for nearly two weeks now which I just can't seem to shift! I must have a very crappy immune system so I've bought a ton of vitamins to start taking to hopefully get it working again.

I think it's almost time to get the pregnancy pillows out which I can't wait to use! I didn't use any with Amelia although I did have to put a small cushion in-between my knees I'm yet to need to do that this time. The bump is feeling huge again this week and I'm finding it harder to bend down, I have to remind myself to squat instead of just bending down ha ha!

I still can't eat a full meal at for dinner, although it was our 4 year anniversary last night and we went out for a meal which I did just about manage to eat. I'm trying to cut down on takeaways because I just seem to be wasting them as much as I really want one, it's just a huge waste. Still no cravings and I'm not favouring savoury or sweet over the other.

Still in pre-pregnancy clothing although I've noticed my work trousers are getting tighter and I no longer need to wear a belt with them. I'm wondering how much longer I can get away without buying maternity clothes and hoping I won't need any like last time. I've noticed the dreaded heartburn has started! It's no where near as bad as it was at the end of my pregnancy with Amelia and it's not usually after I've eaten. It can spring on me at any time, even first thing in the morning.

I've been looking at paint for the nursery this week too and think I may have found the perfect colour.  So I shall start painting it next week when I go back to buy more paint. I can then finally put the shelves up and his room will be pretty much finished! I was looking at my list the other day and there's still quiet a bit left to buy, we need a baby bath, swing, bouncer, more blankets, muslins. I think he has enough clothes although he could do with some more warmer clothes as he is due in January.

You can read last weeks update here and we'll see you in the third trimester next week!

  3. I had to pull out the pregnancy pillows this week thanks to my hips haha. My bump is pretty small as well, but I seem to be growing out of all of my clothes as of late and have had to resort to buying maternity clothes. Not overly sad because they were nice clothes but still!
