22 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE BABY #2

This week baby boy is the size of a papaya however big that is I have no idea, I've never seen one ha ha! He is now roughly weighing 1 lb and measuring around 11 inches long. His taste buds are also forming and his senses are really developing this week. It's also my 25th birthday today which is pretty cool to be starting a new pregnancy week with on the same day.

I have been feeling kicks like crazy all day and night, although more so at night when I'm sat down. They feel far more prominent than when I was pregnant with Amelia. I don't ever remember feeling them this much! It's very reassuring though and I don't mind even if he does kick my bladder most of the time! I can even see them when looking down at my belly and it's pretty funny when I get braxton hicks as my uterus goes into a funny position.

I have been so so tired again this week, I'm not sure if it's down to the pregnancy or if it's because I lost out on so much sleep when Amelia was ill and ended up having a few all nighters that it's totally taken a toll on me. I find myself falling asleep during the afternoon whilst on the laptop and end up waking up getting smacked in the face by Amelia. The worst days are the ones when I'm working too as I come home and can barely keep my eyes open! I suppose it doesn't help that I'm still not really going to sleep any earlier. I really should start going before midnight to get at least 6-7 hours sleep before Amelia wakes up around 6 or 7. I'm so grateful that she will now sleep till then most nights.

I weighed myself this week and I now weigh 7st 13lb so have put on around 3 pound since 12 weeks.  I honestly thought I would have put on much more what with the amount of crap I've been eating recently and my belly seems to have doubled in size however I think most of it is just gas ha ha! It will be interesting to see how much I put on this pregnancy as last time I remember putting on just over a stone which was basically all baby and then as soon as Amelia was born I was back down to my pre-pregnancy weight. I seemed to put all my weight on in the last month or so but I think I'll be weighing more this time round!

There's not a lot else to report on this week, no stretch marks, still in pre-pregnancy clothes, no cravings and I've been feeling pretty good unless I go a while without eating. I had an Ikea delivery arrive this week which I was excited about as it included more items for the nursery and I've finally decided on a DIY that I'm hoping to create in the nursery. More on that soon!

  1. I'm 25 weeks and feeling so tired too, I think it's because I'm anaemic, by the afternoon I literally can't keep my eyes open but I always have plenty of children around me to nudge me awake! x

  7. Feeling the baby kick is the best bit about pregnancy I reckon. Lack of sleep is one of the worst though! Hope you manage to get more rest - early bedtimes and technology bans at night can help apparently. I'm up around 3 times a night for the loo these days. Baby is pressing right on my bladder! Thank you for linking up to #BlogBumpClub x
