19 Week Pregnancy Update - Baby #2

Feeling huge already this week! Crazy as with Amelia I wasn't showing until at least another 10 weeks. Apparently baby is the size of a mango this week and around 8.5oz. I've been feeling much more movement this week as well as braxton hicks. I've only noticed the braxton hicks the past few days when I've been sat down, I don't ever remember feeling them like this when pregnant with Amelia and didn't get them until around 30 weeks. They feel weird as my bump isn't as big as it was then when it hardens then I can see the shape of my uterus sticking out.

I think my immune system is seriously messed up right now, since having a cold about a month ago lasting over a week then the stomach bug and another cold for over a week again my body is probably run down. I have still been taking my pregnacare tablets but maybe I need to be taking some others? I thought I had shifted the cold but now it's gone to my chest and I just can't seem to get rid of it.

I've noticed hairs appearing on my stomach which is rather strange as I don't remember getting them with Amelia. My leg hair has slowed down on the growing and I only need to shave my legs around every 10 days which is nice! I've been having tons of vivid dreams this past week too, very strange ones at that! I've also had more of a sweet tooth than a savoury one recently and have been tucking into numerous amounts of chocolate woops! I think I may have had my first craving this week too! I really really want a chocolate frescato from Costa and still haven't been to get one! It's killing me!

More bits have arrived for baby boy, I think everything I've ordered has arrived now apart from the odd item from Etsy. I've also cleared out a lot of the spare room so haven't got much else to get rid of now. I built his rocking chair and unit the other day and we just have the cot to build before Christmas. I'm in no rush to put it up yet as I want to paint his room first but don't want to be doing it all when heavily pregnant.

I can't believe that next week I will be 20 weeks pregnant and half way through this pregnancy! It's gone by so fast already! You can read last weeks update here

Did you have any pregnancy cravings? If so what were they? With Amelia all I craved was ice!!

  1. Your bump is very neat. I am also expecting my second baby (29 weeks tomorrow) and have also experienced the fine hair on my belly and the lack of a need to shave my legs as often -very weird! Craving parma ham but not supposed to have it in pregnancy. :-( Please check out my brand new blog http://twoboymummy.blogspot.co.uk/ No idea what I'm doing it as it's all new to me!

  6. You are still so tiny! I had a crazy amount of hair on my tummy when I was pregnant with my twin boys. Luckily it all disappeared after I had them but it did look so odd!
