What's In June's Degustabox?

You may remember seeing me post about receiving our first Degustabox last month if not you can read about it here. I received a delivery status that this month's box would be arriving the next day so I ensured I didn't leave the house as I didn't want to miss it. Excited much? Upon opening the box, I must admit I wasn't as thrilled as I was with last months box and nothing jumped out at me. But that's the great thing about subscription boxes, they give you the chance to try new foods and drinks that you normally wouldn't purchase or haven't heard of.

Here's a run down of what was included in this month's box:

Elizabeth Shaw amaretto flutes £2.59 – I really liked these in last months box so it was great to try another flavour. I preferred these to the coca ones and they've all gone already! They are quite rich so its best only have a couple at a time. These would make a lovely gift.

Bear Alphabites £2.69 – These are crunchy cereal letters which contain no added nonsense and have no junk in them. I haven't tried them yet as I don't eat cereal but will give them a go as well Amelia I'm sure.

Strawberry flavoured Lambrini £3.29 – Seeing as I don't drink beer or any alcohol and definitely not at the moment seeing as I'm pregnant Andy quite happily drunk this. He said it was nice and would be great as a summer drink chilled.

Estrella Damm lager £4.00 - Again, as I don't drink alcohol not for me but Andy enjoyed this whilst watching the football at the weekend.

Urban Fruit strawberry £1.09 – I hadn't heard of these before but thought I'd give them a whirl. To be honest, I wasn't very keen, they tasted burnt to me but that's just my taste, and I've seen many people rave about these since. They are baked but I'd much rather eat fresh strawberries to be honest. These are great for little ones though and would be great for little snacks.

Veetee rice £1.49 – I've never tried this brand before but it's always nice to have some microwavable rice on standby in the cupboard when you want to whip up something quick. Especially good with slow cooker meals as I can leave that on all day and then the rice only takes 2 minutes to cook.

Be Fast breakfast drinks £1.00 each - I don't drink milky drinks so again not really interested in these, although Andy could take them to work. They'd be great for those on the go if you don't have time for breakfast in the mornings. I will try them at some point as I'm sure they're very nice but with my sense of smell at the moment I don't think I'd be able to stomach them.

Dr Oetker madagascan vanilla grinder £4.99 – I don't really bake so this will be sat in the cupboard until I spontaneously decided to bake one day. I do like the idea that you can grind it as I've used liquid vanilla in the past and don't really like it.

Fine Cooks Chocolate - I can't wait to bake some cupcakes with this soon! Perhaps I could use the vanilla in there too. I shall let you know what we decide to do. This wasn't actually on the list of products so was nice to have a little extra surprise.

Overall, I was once again impressed by the amount of items included in the Degustabox as it's very good value for money. The contents in this box are close to £30! I guess because I am fussy and don't tend to try new things too often there wasn't too many products that I was interested in this month. I would love to see more crisps, dried foods, soft drinks and chocolate/sweets in future boxes. I will definitely be continuing with the subscription when my trial period ends as I do love getting a surprise in the post every month and it's great for the whole family to try new products that we wouldn't usually pick up in the weekly shop and anything we don't use I can also give to other family members to try out.

To sign up to Degustabox, you can get £3 off your first box simply by entering the code GSKV9 at the checkout. Keep an eye out for next months box soon!
