Dreaming Of A Holiday

Amelia's now been on four family holidays in the two years that she has been with us for. We've been to Tenerife when she was just 6 months old, Dominican Republic last November when she was 18 months old and most recently Paris and Bluestone. We tend to book our main family holiday in November as this is the only time Andy and myself can get off work due to working in the hospitality industry. This year we've made the decision not to go on holiday as I will be 8 months pregnant and it's probably not the best idea to be on a 9+ hour flight heavily pregnant and having to look after a toddler too, it just wouldn't be a relaxing holiday.

So for now we can only dream of when our next holiday will be. Baby number two is due at the beginning of January so we can start planning for next November as they will be 9 months old and Amelia will be 3 and a half so it should be a little easier. We would love to visit the Caribbean again or somewhere exotic as we love relaxing beach holidays.

I love the feeling you get when you've just booked a holiday and have something to look forward to. Knowing that you will be going on holiday and leaving the miserable British weather behind makes everything seem much better.

InterContinental Hotel Group PLC are offering five lucky people the chance to win one million points each which is about £5000! All you have to do is visit their website and play the Minute Millionaire game spending one million points in just one minute - trust me its harder than you think. If you are lucky enough to win you can redeem your points on flights, hotels, gift cards, experiences and plenty more.

I had a quick go and it was rather hard to decide on what to spend it all on, of course I blew it all on a luxury hotel, flights an iPhone and champagne! Sounds like the perfect holiday to me. I honestly have no idea where I would choose to go if I won. Perhaps a nice beach holiday in the Caribbean or Florida. Of course if it was a kid free holiday I would love to travel the world or have a nice relaxing holiday on a quite island somewhere in paradise. I guess I can dream, can't I?

How would you spend the money if you won?

  3. We've saving holidays abroad for when both babies are out of nappies! Our last abroad holiday was Las Vegas just before I got pregnant with LP in 2010 and the next holiday abroad will probably be in a couple of years - I'm dreaming of it too! x

  4. We haven't got any holidays booked at the moment (we just went to France at the beginning of June) - it is nice to have something booked to look forward to, even if it's only a weekend in the UK somewhere!
