Out And About

The sun has come to stay or at least for now it has! We've had lovely weather for the past week here in North Wales and we've been able to get out and explore! On Thursday we went out for the afternoon with Amelia to a nearby Nature reserve. The sun was beaming and it was a lovely warm afternoon. She loved being able to run around it was great to see her happy to be outside. She does so well walking outside, she hates being in the pushchair now so walks pretty much everywhere unless we're going to town. She walked for a good few miles until she was starting to get tired on the way back and had a few piggy backs from daddy.

On Friday my Mum and I decided to go out for the day so after dropping Andy off at work I headed to pick her up and we drove to the nearest beach. The weather wasn't as nice but it wasn't raining which was a bonus. We walked a couple of miles along the coast, picking up stones and twigs before heading back to the car. We then took a drive and went to Portmerion which was about half an hour away and had lunch at the lovely hotel there. As usual we had to finish up quickly as Amelia no longer likes to sit still and would much rather be running around the restaurant instead. So we ate up and left. Luckily she slept in the car on the way back otherwise I think she would have been a nightmare when we got home seeing as she doesn't nap unless we're out in the car.

  1. Amelia is so cute, I love the curly hair and it looks like she really enjoyed the walk, my little one won't go in the buggy either and wants to be carried which is okay if my husband is with us, but at 33+lbs she's getting a bit heavy!!

  2. Aw such lovely pics, family days out are just the best. We're in the same boat with restaurants and Finlay's only seven months old!! He likes to be part of the action at all times and that includes practising his jumping and shouting skills in one of our arms whenever he can so sadly meals out are not a regular occurrence anymore. There's been a lot of "take out" date nights instead ;) x

  15. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it
to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants
to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
