Subscription boxes have all of a sudden become the norm with pretty much every target audience being catered for. There are beauty boxes, food boxes, baby boxes, and more recently clothing subscription boxes. We were recently asked to trial a new UK subscription box called Box Upon A Time. I had never heard of the company before being contacted and had never trailed or bought a clothing subscription before but I thought it would be interesting to give it a go.
Whilst browsing the website I was really impressed by what they had to offer. Each box is handpicked to meet your personal tastes. Firstly I was required to fill in a quick and fun fashion profile to help the stylists choose clothes for Amelia. I entered information about our favourite style of clothing, colours, patterns and of course age and gender.
The stylist then handpicks a selection of designer baby clothes from the requirements you filled out in the profile and your box is delivered to you with a note from your stylist. Box Upon A Time claim that you'll receive designer brands with up to 60% discount. Each box comes with three gorgeous items of designer clothing so it's a bit of a surprise when they arrive.
Upon opening the box I was very excited to see what had been picked. We were sent three items of clothing, a top, a cardigan and a pair of cord trousers. I instantly fell in love with the floral top which is perfect for spring and summer and goes really well with the red cardigan. Unfortunately the trousers are still far too big for Amelia as she's only in 12-18 months for bottoms and I had hoped she would have fitted in them by now but she hasn't. Hopefully they will fit in a few months and she can get use out of them over the summer. One thing I did notice was how soft the clothing was and the high quality of fabric. I would have liked some more information about the brands and the clothing chosen, which would also be a great way to promote the brands.
I found using the website extremely easy to place my order and I really liked the added touch of the quiz. There's something about subscription boxes that makes it all that more exciting as you don't know what you are receiving. There are so many new brands which I have discovered thanks to Box Upon A Time, many of which I have never heard of before.
If you would like to go ahead and order your subscription box you can do so here. I would definitely recommend something like this as a first birthday gift or for Christmas if you're thinking of buying clothes but not sure what to buy. Each box costs £49 which may seem pretty pricey to some but you are getting high quality designer brands here, so in my eyes it's a pretty good deal as you're getting around £80-100 worth of clothing for the £49.
