20 Healthy Snack Ideas For Toddlers



As a busy mum are you usually tempted to give your toddler a packet of crisps or milky bar between meal times when they are getting fussy? It can often seem like the easier option however there are so many healthier options to be had which don't really take much time to make at all! Why not take a look at my favourite healthy snack ideas to hopefully give you some inspiration on healthy treats for your little ones.

Do you find it hard to get fruit into your toddler's diet? How about trying these Frozen Yogurt Covered Blueberries which are a great way to trick them into eating fruit. You can also freeze grapes, raisins, banana or nuts the list is endless. They are perfect treats for the summer too!

These No Bake Chewy Granola Bars wont make you feel guilty for giving your toddler a treat. They are the perfect size for a packed lunch box or just to slip into your bag for a day out. 

A quick and easy afternoon snack which is perfect for summer are these fruit kebabs! You can make them with any fruit you have or even experiment with new fruit which your children haven't tried before. 

Here is a quick and easy Cheez it recipe, perfect for cheese lovers and a great alternative to wotsits or quavers for lunch time too. You may have to hide them away to stop yourself from eating them though!


There are so many toddler friendly smoothie recipes to choose from, this Banana, Mango Frozen Smoothie is a firm favourite in our house. Not only are they perfect snacks throughout the day they make great healthy breakfasts' to start the day! Smoothies literally take five minutes to make so you can't use the excuse that you don't have time!

Homemade Apple Chips are great as an alternative to crisps and chips. Prepare some at the beginning of the week and store them in a container to get out for snack time. You could also make sweet potato chips too for a savoury option.

This is a fabulous snack idea, slap some peanut butter in between apple and voila you have an Apple Sandwich which isn't made out of bread. There are so many fillings to choose from so use your imagination!

This quick and simple Cheese stick recipe will be a fond favourite if your little one likes biscuits or breadsticks. A great addition to a packed lunch or for hungry tots on the go!


A Mummy Too shares her No Junk Apple, Cinnamon and Strawberry Muffin recipe which is a perfect treat for your little one. 

For an easy savoury snack or lunch box idea why not give these Pea & Ham Fritters a go? They can be served hot or cold and even better don't take much effort at all! You can use what ever left overs you have lurking in the fridge or freezer. 

Another apple snack to try out are these Apple Cheese Crackers which are so easy to make and make perfect quick and easy snacks. You could even switch up the apple for another of your kids favourite foods instead.

These homemade garlic bagel chips are sure to be a hit with everyone in your home. You've been warned - they are addicted! 

What about these yummy Pitta Pizzas? Great dinner time treats as well as snacks. The options are endless for toppings and they are likely to never get bored of them.
