We are huge Cosatto fans in our house and have been ever since I came across the brand a few years ago when in search for a pushchair for Amelia. I think it's the eye catching designs and patterns that makes their products so exciting and fresh! We have previously reviewed the Cosatto Supa Pushchair as well as the Hug Car Seat which we still love to this very day and more recently we have been testing out the new Cosatto Ooba 3-in-1 Travel system as part of their Brand Buddy Team. As soon as it arrived I fell in love and it's even more gorgeous on the eye in the flesh!
We've now been using the Cosatto Ooba for well over a month now and have been loving it so far! Despite the awful weather (do excuse the dull photos!) we've managed to get out with it a number of times, with the gorgeous rain cover might I add! The Ooba is available in two designs; The Duck Egg and the Marzipan which are both lovely and on definitely on trend. After much umming and ahhing I finally decided on the Marzipan design, although both are lovely and I would have definitely chosen the Duck Egg if I had a boy. I usually play it safe with car seats and baby items and opt for black but this time I thought I would choose a bright and colourful design and boy is it bright!
The Ooba is easy to transform and can be used in carrycot, pushchair or infant car seat mode.

I love that Amelia is sat high up in the Ooba, with previous pushchairs we have used she always seems much lower down. We have been using in the forward facing mode as she tends to prefer looking out and being nosy at everything and I guess she gets bored of me if she's in the parent facing mode but the great thing about the Ooba is the fact that you can easily switch from parent to forward facing simply by a click of a button and flip of the handle bars over the pushchair! It saves having to take your child out and then lift the seat part out, they can sit still and all you need to do is switch sides! Perfect for when the sun gets in little ones eye, just flip it over and they're no longer facing the sun - problem solved. I really do wish I had a feature like this on our pushchair when Amelia was much younger it would have been used very often.
One thing I would have to mention about the wheels, as stylish as they look I really don't think white wheels are practical for a pushchair especially for the terrain we live in. However with a bit of tender love and care I think I will be able to keep them looking spic n' span! We have taken the Ooba to the beach, through the forest, down by the lake and into town and the wheels are very durable and wheels very well.
The shopping basket is of a very decent size, I am really impressed with this feature and it definitely comes in handy for going into town without the car. It's really deep too so you don't have to worry about loosing items when going over curbs which I have lost countless amounts of shopping in the past with previous pushchairs with flimsy basket designs.
Amelia is very comfortable when ever she is sat in the Ooba and the straps have a really good cushion allowing comfort for baby. We've had many compliments on the pushchair when out and about and it definitely stands out from the crowd.
A few points to mention:
The pushchair is slightly heavier than others I have had over the past two years, and doesn't fold down as compact as I would have liked although it does look small when closed it is still quite big due to the frame and the way it collapses. I would have preferred if you could collapse it with the seat still attached but its not the end of the world.
You would have to purchase the car seat separately where as most travel systems include them so that would up the price slightly especially if you weren't looking to spend much more than your original budget. Having said that, the pushchair is gorgeous and if I was looking for a new pushchair I would purchase the whole package anyway whether it was included or not.
It took a little while to get used to the brake as you need to use your hands and flick the lever on the frame instead of your foot to release which was a bit weird to begin with seeing as every other pushchair I've seen is used with your foot. Having said that, now that I am used to it, it's really easy to use and I actually prefer it!
This Travel System retails at a whooping £800 however for a Travel System like this I think it is very reasonable for what you are getting in the package. Also included in the package is:
✓ Cosy Toes with reversible zip off liner
✓ Coordinating changing bag with changing mat and messy bag
✓ Patterned raincovers for pushchair seat and carrycot
✓ Spacious storage basket
✓ Hold car seat adaptors (Hold car seat sold separately)
Overall we have thoroughly enjoyed putting the Ooba through its paces and are huge fans! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a modern snazzy Travel System which will see you from birth until toddlerhood.
