We've had quite a productive week this week which I think has done both Amelia and I some good. I've also been thinking of Amelia's second birthday which is in just over two weeks away, I suggested to Andy that we take the day off work and go to the zoo as we haven't been since last summer. I've also been busy with Easter bits around the house and looking forward to that this year as Amelia can take part in an Easter egg hunt! We still haven't found a new car but next week my younger brother is going back to Afghan so has offered us to borrow his car whilst he's gone which is very nice of him. It's good because it keeps it on the road for him and we can save up for longer to buy a nicer car. So, I'm looking forward to finally getting out more with Amelia over the next few months! Here's what we've been up to this week:
At the start of the week we baked some cupcakes although I forgot about them and burnt them we still had fun baking them. I can't wait to bake more with Amelia in the future.
Amelia sat down for the first time in the bath since she was a baby! Ever since she could stand she wouldn't sit down in the bath which makes bath time a bit frustrating as she usually wants to climb out within 5 minutes or she thinks it's funny to throw water at me. This week she sat down out of the blue! I couldn't believe it, and she actually enjoyed bath time that night!
For the past few month's Amelia will put her trousers and nappy off at least twice a day. I wouldn't mind but half the time I don't realise and she's peed on the rug or floor. She likes bounces around naked too!
Tuesday was a lovely sunny day at work. This is the view from one of the balconies which over looks the Menai Straits. It's such a gorgeous area and makes me not mind working especially with the view!
We've been enjoying some Easter crafts and painting this past week and I let Amelia loose with the paints. I never usually do as I'm scared she will throw it all around the living room but she actually sat down for a good 45 minutes painting and playing with stickers.
Frozen finally arrived this week! Woohoo! I hadn't seen it until yesterday and Amelia loved it! She was sat watching it for an hour and that's saying something as she never sits still for more than five minutes usually.
Here is a photo of my eBay obsession. There's around 30 items here all bought individually in the last two weeks, I have actually bought more than that but these are the stuff I have for Easter and doing Amelia's Bento lunches.
I picked up some more easter bits during the week as I'm doing an Easter egg hunt and also wanted to do some crafts over the next few weeks. These were all really cheap and from The Card Factory.
I've started collecting a few bits for the garden for Amelia. These are all from Asda but I do have a few other bits coming from ELC and eBay.
I recently bought some flashcards for Amelia in hope to expand her vocabulary. She's always been very talkative in toddler talk but she doesn't really say that many words. I think she says around 20-30 and she can put three or four words together to make sentences but she only says the same ones all the time.
