A Birthday Bento Lunch

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a lovely bank holiday weekend! It still feels weird having them off work since Amelia's been born as I used to work the whole weekend so just working the Saturday felt strange to say the least but very nice! I had a lovely weekend with Amelia, Andy was working the whole of it unfortunately so we didn't get to spend it together. On Friday we had a nice day out down by the lake then on Easter Sunday we had a nice relaxing day at home stuffing our faces with chocolate, watching films and having an egg hunt. For Amelia's birthday today I made her a special Bento lunch full of some of her favourites as a treat. After all what are birthdays for if you can't have your favourite foods!?

Featured in this Birthday Bento Lunch:
  • Candy Letters
  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Purple Grapes
  • Twisted Cheese string
  • Cucumber
  • Peach Yoghurt With Sprinkles
  • Ritz Crackers
  • Dairylea Sandwich Cut Using A Crown Cutter

I'm really enjoying making Amelia these Bento lunches and she seems to be eating better too. Have you jumped on the Bento bandwagon? I'd love to know!

  8. What a cute lunch. I'd never heard of Bento before we started blogging but having seen so many amazing ideas on various blogs and on pinterest that we do now occassionally do a bit of bento. it makes lunch fun for the kids (and the grown ups get to be creative too) x

  9. That looks like a lovely lunch! So appealing. I always mean to do a Bento style lunch with Harry when he is home but never get round to; I really should since he goes through some really picky phases!

  11. I like the idea of bento boxes, but a) I'm too lazy, and b) I'm not sure I could fit enough lunch in a box to feed N! Might try some soon next time we do a picnic though.

  13. That looks so cute :) I have tried bento lunch boxes, mine are not as cute, but they do seem to go down well. Of course my favourite restaurant is Mount Fuji where they do 'proper' Japanese Bento boxes which are so delicious.
