What's In My Changing Bag - Toddler Edition

I haven't done a what's in my changing bag post on this blog and since I switched my bags around this week and I haven't showed you this bag yet I thought what better time to share with you all. The bag I'm currently using is my Pink Lining bag which I bought last year and I absolutely love because its perfect for spring and summer. We don't always take the changing bag out with us anymore, it's usually when we go on long day trips or we know we're going to be out for most of the day otherwise i take her toddler bag which you can see here.

Now that Amelia is a toddler what I carry around varies from when she was a baby. When Amelia must have been around four or five months old I packed more baby specific items, now you can tell we don't carry any of those around but I tend to overpack as I like to make sure i have everything for every instance.

I only tend to pack 2-3 nappies if we've out for a few hours just incase but if we're going away for the day I usually pack a couple more. In the colder months I've been packing a spare hat and pair of gloves incase she looses the ones she's wearing and I always have a extra pair of socks. When she was younger I would pack a spare pair of leggings and top just incase but she's never had an accident to date so now I just bring an extra top on longer days out.

Amelia is a VERY picky eater so when we go out I pack plenty of snacks. This usually consists of a container of cucumber, a packet of crisps, milky bar, a pouch of food just incase we don't eat out anywhere, a fruit shoot and her juice.

Amelia never sits still so when we eat out the only way I can keep her sat in the highchair whilst in a restaurant is by keeping her occupied. She also gets bored easily so I have to bring along a few options, I usually bring the iPad or my phone with videos, a book, her mini sketcher and some crayons and paper.

I always have her hair brush handy as it get very tangly, and also bring along her reins incase we want to let her walk. That's pretty much everything I take with us on a day to day basis as well as my purse and phone. As I said before if we're just going to the shop or the park I take her toddler bag instead.

  3. I love all the pinkness!! We have two boys aged 1 & 2. We tend to shove everything in their little backpack - a couple of nappies each, wet wipes and juice/snacks!!

  7. Your blog is simply beautiful - by far the most striking, well laid out and put together I have come across. Excellent post about a potentially mundane subject- but which I found really interesting despite my children being that much older now.

  13. These days I use a backpack for my toddlers things, and a handbag again for me- yay for the return of the grown up bag- although it always seems to have kid stuff in it still- plastic toys etc! I take out very similar to you- spare clothes, as he will fall in a puddle, as well as snacks and little play bits.

  14. This is a very organised bag. And very tidy too. Having now passed the toddler stage, I am now at the cram-anything-he-might-need-in-my-handbag stage which, if my husband is anything to go by, could potentially last well into adulthood!

  23. Love that bag and all the pinkyness. I have a very large cross the body bag that is full of mine and my 4 year olds stuff. Usually an iPad, books, camera, plastic animals etc. About 4 lip balms are usually rolling around in the bottom of it too. You are more organised than I ever was :)
