Now that Amelia is older we don't always take the changing bag out with us every day especially if we're just heading into town or the park. We have been using her Cath Kidston kids backpack which I absolutely love! I bought it for holiday back in November however we started using it before then. The only downside is that it's quiet small and doesn't hold much but its okay for carrying around a few snacks and nappies. For longer days out I have another bag which I bought off eBay a while back which is super cute or I take the changing bag if I need to pack a lot. I've been meaning to share this post with you for a while now so here's what's in Amelia toddler bag.
The bag is small enough for Amelia to carry on her back or I tend to hang it on the handles of the pushchair. You can actually fit more in it than you think as it does look pretty small however I think that's good especially if your toddler will be carrying it themselves as you don't want it to be weighing them down. I love the design on the bag and think it will last a good few years more so for nursery and days to the park.
At the front of the bag there is a small pocket which I tend to keep my hand sanatiser, calpol, spare dummy, keys and phone and any other little bits and bobs I don't want to loose and in easy reach.
In the bigger compartment on the bag I keep everything else. There is a decent amount of space, although I would love it if they made a slightly bigger version of the bag as it would be great to fit a bit more in. I pack a couple of nappies and some baby wipes, her hair brush along with a pair of gloves, her toddler reins, some colouring pens and paper as well as her mini sketcher to keep her entertained if we end up eating out. Snack wise I tend to bring along a packet of crisps, a fruit shoot as there's not really enough room for a big juice bottle, a milky bar and also a pouch of food as they are handy to have if she's getting fussy. I also bring a plastic bag to put any left over bits or rubbish in to keep separate.
What do you keep in your toddler's bag?
