Messy Hair

I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by! We will be in April tomorrow! April is one of my favourite months of the year, with Easter and then Amelia's birthday shortly after. I can't wait! I've been having a bit of a nightmare with Amelia's hair lately, well I always have to be honest but this month it's got even worse!! As you can tell in the photo's, it looks like it hasn't been washed or brushed, but I promise you I do ha ha! When she was younger I didn't have this problem as she had barely any hair so I would put hairband in it to keep it flat. Then I would tie it back when it grew a bit more, but for the past 6 months or so she won't let me tie it up. As soon as I do, she pulls it out! Mum's of little girls how do you manage to keep their hair tied up!? I think that would solve a lot of the problems and keep her hair looking neater for longer.

Here are some Instagram photo's from the past week. Have a great week!

  1. She has gorgeous curls! My two little boys were bald until about 14months. They've both now for tonnes of white blonde hair that is impossible to keep neat!

  17. I think her hair looks beautiful just as it is. Speaking as a fellow curly, take care to make sure she doesn't detect that her hair is a source of frustration to you - she will grow to resent her lovely locks and you'll have a whole new set of problems.

  21. She has such beautiful crazy hair and i LOVE the curls. Little girls with curls always look super cute, although trust me when i say she will hate you for it when she's older. My hair is naturally curly like Amelia's (but ssshhh don't tell anyone!) xxx

  22. Amelia has lovely curls. My little one has curly hair that looks unbrushed seconds after it has been done. she's 13 months and its going through a messy stage as its too short to tie up and she wont keep clips or hairbands in.

  23. I've had such a problem with Mads hair, she is curly and it is so unruly and it gets so knotty too. But I won't ever cut it cause I fear the curls will go like mine did when I was little. Embrace the messiness I say! x

  26. Her hair is lovely! My little girl's hair also has curls but they are an absolute nightmare to comb! We often have a tangled, knotted mess at the back and a few tears when I put conditioner in (my conditioner as the leave in ones/kiddy sprays, etc. don't work well enough) and try to tease them out. Hair bobbles and hair bands don't stay in for longer than half an hour. I've just read Kara's comment above. I've heard good things about tangle teasers. Maybe they are the way forward?

  27. Her hair is very similar to my little girl's, just a different colour. I use a Swartskopft leave in conditioner spray with a fairy on it which seems to work at making the curls lovely rather than frizzy! :-)
