On Sunday afternoon my parents picked Amelia and I up not long after mid-day and we headed over to a local beach twenty minutes away which has a beautiful forest adjacent to it. There are some lovely trails and it also has a fantastic wooden walkway leading up to the beach. We decided to take a wander along with Amelia in her trike and get some fresh air. She only stayed in the trike for a wee while as it was rather cold and she was shivering being so close to the sea front so we decided to head off into the forest and let her run around instead.
She had so much fun exploring, picking up pinecones and twigs and also being able to run around. She also loved walking holding Nana and Grandad's hands for a lot of the time. The sun even made an appearance too which was lovely. Amelia walked for over an hour and a half, she didn't even have a rest! A lot of it was uphill too and the terrain was rumbly and sandy for a lot of the walk.
It was lovely being able to get out and spend time with my parents as well as Amelia and enjoy the fresh air. Since not having our car on the road we've been unable to go and explore and take Amelia on days out.
