Amelia's Easter Basket

I know, I know Easter isn't for a while yet but I have been itching to share Amelia's Easter basket with you all! I've been buying lots of cute Easter themed bits and bobs for her basket and also for other Easter ideas I have planned. I wanted something different than an easter egg and I love being able to  make these themed baskets for Amelia every festive opportunity. I love getting all festive and what better way to do so than sharing it with your kids!

Making these baskets are relatively in expensive especially if you already have a basket and a few other the other items around the house or from previous years. If you're wanting to do something a little different to an Easter egg, then an Easter basket is a fab alternative! There's no need to fill it all up with sweets of chocolate, you can find plenty of items which aren't food related to get the attention of your little ones! I have a post coming up soon on items to fill your baskets with so do keep an eye out for that if you're stuck for ideas!

Inside Amelia's basket we have a pair of bunny ears, a soft bunny toy, a tube of mini eggs, an Easter sticker book, Peter Rabbit book, Easter surprise book (big yellow book) some Easter rubber ducks, plastic chick eggs filled with small treats and a bag of handmade mini eggs. I will probably be adding a few extra's such as Easter themed socks or leggings if I happen to see anything else in the shops closer to Easter.

Will you be doing an Easter basket for your little ones?

Thank you to everyone who nominated Oh So Amelia in the MAD Blog Awards. I’m over the moon and shocked to be a Finalist in the Home & Interior category. If you like reading my blog and home/decor posts, I’d really love it if you could vote for us!

  7. Beautiful basket you've found a lovely mix of things. You can also buy Easter themed/shaped marshmallows, I bought some in John Lewis but I've seen them in Laura Ashley, Waitrose and Sainsbury's too. Might be a change from eggs :)

  10. Such a sweet idea! I think i'll wait till next year before I start doing this for Abbie or she'll end up throwing everything around the room, but I used to do it when I was younger with my family and it was the best thing ever, although we had to wear huge straw hats too....Hmmm x
